When I meet people on trails, city, anywhere who say something about Ebikes, good or bad, I always offer my bike for them to try.
I met a fortysomething guy on a DH track last year ,he tried my bike, he heard things about them, but never tried, and I met him again several weeks ago, and he was...
I think it was the the upper jockey wheel, I have this all the time (also SRAM), when I reinstalling the chain after cleaning, it didn't seat with the chain as it should, and somehow rode on the "top" of the chain links.
Oh boy, there is always something. I know that feeling when you get something new, and you can't use it, very frustrating. :( I hope you can get that sorted out sooner than excepted.
I still think Bosch gen2 is the most reliable, serviceable motor on the market. Mine getting it every day, rain, snow, mud, turbo mode most of the time, lot of mileage, my old bike same, no problems yet. I have 2 brand new spare motor ( cheap in local market), I bougth them, because why not, but...
Did you use the Sram derailleur hanger?
I'm confused about the derailleur type, there are mid and long ones, both max teeth cog is 42. Can you may share your exact setup, I guess you started from EX1 also.
Sorry If I hurt anyone feelings, this wasn't my intention.
I dont think so there are any worth to buy suspension product on the market yet. We are fed with half developed products at insane prices by fox and other companys. This is my own opinion, as a technical guy, who had his fox products...
I looking to replace my EX1 drivetrain, because I hate it. It's noise, hard to keep the setup aligned for good shifter feel, I don't like the way Sram want's you setup the rear mech, so the jockey wheel center is in the right side of the bottom cog, which makes a funky chain line, and adding...
It really doesn't matter what drivetrain or bike you have, " when pushing hard " with your full weight I guess, and motor power you will destroy your lower gears fast. I have a supposedly stronger Ebike drivetrain Sram Ex1, I change the smallest cogs around the same mileage as you. I'm using it...
I have Zee brakes with Icetech rotors. I replaced the rear rotor with not Ice-tech one , the zinging started immediately.Escpecially when I turned or leaning with the bike (no play in the rear wheel hub). I tried everything, different pads, springs etc... Bought an Ice-tech rotor, zinging is...
Mine looks the same, and I think a mountain bike which used as intended will look eventually like that. I keep it clean, service it regulalry, but I look at it as a tool which need to serve me, so I will not do things differently because it may damage my paint, or scratch it.
The only thing on my bike I trust are the wheels and the bosch engine. DT swiss H1700 hybrid wheels and 350 hybrid hubs close to 3k km, lot of abuse, I can't even believe how it can handle all of this. They have some rock marks, but both of them nearly perfect still.
I just serviced the...
I have a Ebike spec 160mm Fox36 performance fork on my bike, they replaced lower leg in warranty, after 300 miles it's doing the same clunking noise again, the stanchion is loose in the leg. The damper died after they serviced the fork. I'm not sure how normal Fox36 perform, or reliable, but...
I also using Bell Super 3R, love it, and recomend it, in cold wheather if you dont have much hair, you need something between your head and the helmet to keep you warm, because the ventillation is pretty good.
On my first hardtail, which I sold to my college, we upgraded the display to KIOX for him with necessary software upgrade on the drive unit and battery. The guy who did the SW upgrade said turbo mode was used 99.7%. :D It was used mostly for commute.
In my fully nowadays if the weather is good...
Of course it's not compatible. There is a dissasembled Purion (its very cheap used here in the local market) hiding in the frame. I actually soldered contact points to the purion switches on the circuit board. I use a bluetooth capable Redped tuning box, so I can check battery percentage on my...
