My local dealer here in the US said that they will not get any new Giants until April or May of 2021. I hope that’s not true. I had my 2 up for sale and wanted to replace them but now having second thoughts.
I love how they say the bearings aren’t serviceable. You don’t have to search hard to find people with play in the cranks on the old motor after relatively little time. I guess you just throw these motors away like you throw a LED bulb away that also claims to last forever.

I had the same issue and it was the head set. I replaced with Cane Creek and have no issues since and they don’t loosen up like before either. Although my bike has the Rhythm 36.
Yes I know what you mean. I’m in NC but my daughter rode for the Gear bikes team out of PA last year and that’s where we got our Levo and how I got to know those guys. I’ve found you need to find a shop where someone has motorcycle experience and then they are more on board with selling and...
Gear Bicycle Sales in Grove City PA is a Specialized dealer. They run the Specialized backed eMTB race team for the GNCC series and have demo bikes at all the races. They know their stuff with e bikes. They sell Specialized and Fantic. I deal with Jeff or John. They have been very helpful to me...
I would and plan to buy another Reign. We have a 2018 Levo, 19 Trance and 20 Reign. The Levo is a good bike but feels like a mountain bike as far as handling. It’s a little skatey in the turns ft and rear and will buck you if you hit a jump or log over without precision. It also crapped a...
Yes the 4 bolts are all that holds it, you may need to slightly pry down or tap with a rubber hammer or similar. It sits tight in the frame. Be carful when it does come down not to stress the wires. It is heavy enough to break the wires or connectors if it dropped without support. I put a floor...
Here’s what the mounts look like when the motor is dropped. The best way to get them to press out it to thread a long 6mm 1.0 bolt in the back side of the collar and tap it out. They can be in pretty tight and especially if they are dry from the factory.
My kids just reminded me that when we first got our Reign, at about 100 miles, the derailleur had a crack in it and would flex and suddenly would not shift and would skip on the small gears. Giant replaced it under warranty and it has been great since. It was cracked where I’m pointing in the...
No it’s not normal. If it’s properly tuned then It is either has a bad hub or the chain or rear cassette is worn. If the chain is worn I suggest replacing the cassette also. If you put it In the small gear and hold the rear brake while putting considerable pressure on the pedal you will see the...
Mine wasn’t the motor mounts. A new shock fixed it. Took it completely apart and greased every pivot and mount. Still creaking. Sent the shock back to Fox. Got it back and creaking after 10 minutes. I bought a new shock and it hasn’t made noise since. But motor mounts are a solid place to start...
I had the same issue and this is what the diagnostic tool showed. Shop tried to update the ECU but it would not take. Ended up needing the battery replaced because the controller is integrated as you know. I am the original owner of our 18 Levo and they replaced it under warranty just last week...
I can’t imagine paying $16525 for the top level bike here in the USA. The low weight is only because it has low power. Basically makes it a super expensive Stumpjumper with a little boost for climbing. I have a 19 Stumpjumper carbon and a 2020 Reign E. The Reign is much more fun to jump and...
They will get it fixed I’m sure. Huge company that is serious about eMTB. Your bike is obviously a factory flaw. I only had one issue with my Trance and the dealer fixed it same day. But next time you should probably get a Reign E if you’re going to hit 20 + ft. gaps to flat! ?
