Here in Portugal my driver's license says I wear hearing aids, so I'm legally required to wear them while I'm driving. I think the same logic extends to riding with ear buds, especially in traffic.
I hate going to the beach and having to endure the noise of blaring boom boxes or esplanada café...
I use a fairly thick bike bearing grease from Decathlon. My 2018 Turbo Levo headset needed to be lubed every 2 months to stop creaking and my 2020 T Levo goes about 6 months before creaking. I just take off the top retainer plate and loosen the stem clamp to let the fork stem drop about an inch...
I'm too modest to "Bare" with you, and I don't understand what your yes/no vote choice actually means. Off road I find the factory 25kph limit is fine but on the tarmack getting to the trails it would be great to have an extra 4kph to keep up with my acoustic mates.
I switched to 150mm cranks from the original 165mm because of a torn cartilage and inability to flex my knee beyond 90⁰. On my Turbo Levo there's no noticeable difference in lack of power and it certainly did decrease pedal strikes. The downside is that I had to raise the seat 15mm to get the...
My new motor belt most is noticeably louder, hoping it will go away after a few hundred Kms. Walk assist was never the same after a firmware upgrade last year.
Bought my 2020 Levo Comp in Oct 2019. Motor worked flawlessly for 5000kms then the sprag clutch wouldn't release immediately. Specialized replaced it in a week. My LBS tells me that Specialized Iberia will now send a replacement when asked, before recieving the old motor. Had the charger harness...
The magnetic plug can plug pick up tiny stray metallic chunks, and I'd strongly advise against whacking it. If it's clean it should easily make contact.
A 2.5 tire doesn't rub. The V2 version gives you the clearance needed but leaves the paint work exposed. I've reinstalled the V1 lower piece without the original plastic protector and find that it gives me the factory clearance and protection of the paint work as well. Here's a photo of the V2...
Expensive, yes, but it's designed specifically for the Turbo Levo and there's plenty of other gear that's way overpriced and we don't think twice about it. Did you ever pay +€50 for a t-shirt?
I use a Mudhugger on top of the Sicom, held together with a quick tie. Even that needs an extension...
Just coming up to 5000kms on my 2020 Turbo Levo and I notice that while I'm cleaning the chain with the bike on a stand that the cranks don't freewheel in reverse and drag the motor backwards as well, which causes the battery to connect. On the trail I notice that the motor doesn't disengage...
I'm 71 and ride with an athletic 40 year-old friend all the time. Sometimes I wait for him at the top of technical climbs where we can't ride side by side and talk. He always has to wait for me at the bottom of fast descents - I can only ride safely at about half the speed he goes on the...
"Slightly reduce speed" is a greatly exaggerated understatement. My lbs upgraded the firmware on my 2020 Turbo Levo last week and it's crap! I now have to push and lift my bike manually over obstacles that the previous walk assist could do on its own. With my damaged and arthritic knees after 71...
Sorry, but I'm not impressed with the GoPro. I use a head mounted Sony AZ1 and just upoad the raw footage to YouTube. It's also fantastic for night filming. Great stability and rain proof as well. Pardon my terrible Portuguese - it's a hard language to learn. This video was taken in April at...
I don't like a wet ass and mud in my face so I bought a pair of fatbike Mudhuggers for my Turbo Levo running 27.5 x 2.8 Butcher tires. The Mudhugger I had to put an extension on the rear guard to make it work over 20kph, since the draft behind me would suck water right onto my ass. I now get...
