I was hopeful that a small Australian company was going to bring a good product to market for a reasonable price. I probably would have bought one. But after a great start to to this thread, the subject just seemed to fall off a cliff.

OMFG! Trek must have factored in two replacement frames during the warranty period. I might have to wait until another manufacturer copies it.

A sales lady at the Trek shop (in Woolloongabba, Brisbane) told me they would find out in July/August this year if they would be receiving the bike next year. It doesn't sound very likely to me. And my guess is prices would start at $12000.
