It can be a PITA if one is old or has back issues etc. I'm 74, male, with so many physical issues it ain't funny.
I remove the battery, and lift the Giant straight up onto the work stand, keeping back straight and using my legs.
Works for me
I agree totally. Sounds like some plonkers are trying hard to complicate matters by introducing more PC crap.
Maybe they haven't heard of K.I.S.S. " Keep it simple stupid".
So, The Hodge, this 74 year old bloke, is going to refer to them as simply mtb or emtb. Maybe that sounds too much like...
Yeah, well our 'kiss the babies' Prime Minister and her motley incompetent crew, are going to cease importing Japanese used cars in about 3-4 years. They haven't got the intelligence to realise the majority of lower income New Zealanders won't be able to afford e-mvs, or the newer used petrol...
Good point. I am taking my bike up the North Island (NZ) on 15th, on a platform Volt Torpedo 7 towball carrier, which will take two e mtbs (minus batteries).
I have a NZ$14.99 motor bike cover from Torpedo 7 which should do the trick. Just to make sure, I have a Mitre 10 Z$9.99 trailer...
I emailed BIKE PARKA on their website, to ask if they were suitable for travelling 300 kilometres at speeds up to 100 kph. I've had no reply yet, 2 weeks later.
Marlborough New Zealand. Saw a camper van with two mtbs on a rear carrier recently. Both had nice looking camouflage coloured bike covers on with the Brand name " Bike Parka" across the cover. Suggest you Google

In a nutshell, the rise in prices across most manufacturers, is called 'Supply & Demand'.
Many factors come in to it, but two of the main factors is demand exceeding supply capabilities, and the buyer having to pay for the cost of new technology.
If we want all the bells and whistles, we are...
I understand exactly how you feel!
Coming up 75, I consider myself a bit of an expert with MTB 'offs'. Nothing as serious as yours though. Should be a lesson for us all..
Many years ago, a work colleague who was a fitness fanatic, ran into the back of a stationary school bus while out training...
Simon never read the instructional manual before he 'showed off' his new e-bike in front of his wife, teenage son, and younger son.
It is his own fault and no-one else's.
I would hate to think he sues and wins a large settlement. No doubt his lawyer will be in for a huge cut/percentage of any...
Get a quote from a reliable Auto Paint Shop to repair the damage. (Don't expect to get a full respray job).
Take the quote back to the LBS and ask if they are prepared to meet you halfway. Remember, it was an accident. Be prepared to compromise.
If it was me, I would repair it myself. After...
Me too! Purchased a 2019 Giant Trance +1 pro in April 2019. Love the bike, but the Ride Control One has been replaced 3 times under warrranty, and the current RCO is playing up now. Can't be a moisture issue as I don't ride in the rain. I agree buy from LBS, as when you strike trouble, it is...
