Arrggghhh, I have wanted one of these for a long time and planned to buy a new bike next year, but I just bought one today in large! As you say the spec for the money is hard to beat.
I love the colours, like a KTM ;)
I put a Cane Creek DB inline Coil onto my Lapierre SX800 overvolt, I notice a huge difference and have not had a pedal strike since. I had a Fox Float DPS on the bike, put 250psi into and did all the Sag setting stuff but it is just undergunned for a heavy bike. I see a lot of new spec e-bikes...
What you tried, it really does depend on the shape of your head - best thing to do is go try them on if you can. I have issues getting helmets to fit have anarrow head as well - I found the POC Tectal fits me well but not cheap!
Thanks, am pretty fit and looking for abike that is closer to a normal MTB, I think I would have to test ride before I commit though.
I already have a Lapierre SX800 overvolt which I have had for 2 years, was looking for something to compliment that, so the Fazua motor is of interest.
The...
How do you find the Fazua motor?
I am interested in the eZesty which has the Fazua, I would like to pre order this bike but need more info on the motor and how it performs.
Thanks
Here is an example of a brilliant 3k bike with only 220 miles on it. I own a 2016 version of this bike with the Yam motor - this has the Bosch motor. It's awesome and I don't think you should worry too much about motor drag. I have never noticed it on any of the bikes I have ridden.
Much more...
If you are used to Motos, which I am as an Enduro/MX rider you need to go for full suspension on your eBIke. You will soon be riding the bike like a MOTO and will miss rear suspension. A hardtail will hold you back once you discover what you can do an an ebike.
Look on eBay, there are lots of...
Chamonix is one of favourite places, in summer and winter. I have spent a lot of time there over the years, one of the most stunning places I have seen. But it has a lot of restrictions on the trails in the height of summer, they are kept exclusively for walkers. This FB page may help...
La Thuille and Pila are not that far from Morzine by the way, just nip through the Mont Blanc tunnel from Chamonix and you are in Courmayeur on the Italian side. I ski a lot so know my way round the Alps reasonably well :)
Also @thebarber , I am on the KTM Forum as 'pmski' so know your profile...
Am in the Swiss Alps doing MTB at the moment, would love to have my KTM EXC 500 Supermoto out here with me - the roads are as smooth as a race track. Will drive out next year with e-bike and moto.
If you want to go moto trail riding Italy is much more bike friendly and has some epic lift served...
From my post, the HT AE03 and One Up Components looked the best for my needs. They are very thin which should help with pedal strikes.
I Bought the HT AE03 by the way.
Have a similar background riding Enduro and MX. One of the things I love about my ebike is NOT wearing all the hot MX gear. I have a Bell Super 2r which is now superseded by the 3r. Great helmet as it has a removable chin guard. Means you stick the chin guard on for more DH riding and if you are...
I like the haibike DH bike, it looks similar to a conventional DH bike. The Flyon front and rear lights, the horrible crank thing and the air intakes on the front are just too non MTB for me. I read the review On ebike mag and it shows the front air intakes which seem stylistic overkill. Haibike...
I think that bike looks hideous, over engineered and heavy looking. Hate the front and tail lights. I love motos, two KTMs in the garage but that bike is trying too hard to look like a Moto. It’s a MTB.
The eZesty on the other hand looks sweet,
Light and agile and gets my vote, will be...
I have a dirt bike background like you, enduro and a bit of MX. Buy the bike that is most like a dirt bike, so that would be the Kenovo, the ohlins shock is superb, I briefly rode a kenevo and the ohlins had the same feeling as my XC-F 250. So whatever bike you get choose one with the 170mm +...
