I emailed them nearly 2 weeks ago and had no reply and this is the second time of trying with them too. I was going to call in and see them bit I've just not had the time.
Wheelbase have got back to me today and Derby Cycles have told them and new battery would be £540 but it would have to go...
Had this reply from Focus................
Thank you very much for your mail!
We apologize for any inconvenience and delays.
The high demand in the market caused some difficulties for some of our main suppliers of the battery.
The new batteries will be available in January next year and then...
Yes they seem to lack customer service. I do have the tech pack and use that on the bigger rides say 40 mile plus with up to 4000ft climbing.
I do a 21 miler on a Wednesday night and I used to do that with just the frame battery and finish with at least 2 bars and this is mostly eco. I'm now on...
How hard can it be to get a new frame battery (bike now out of warranty)
Fired off loads of emails to loads of dealers and the most of them don't answer. One dealer has answered and has emailed Derby cycles to request a price and availability of said battery but even they haven't answered the...
My range has only ever been around the 5 mile mark per bar and thats with the eco set on medium/low, trail on just under medium and boost on high (which I hardly ever use) None of my rides are flat, all 1500ft and above per 15 to 20 miles. anything over 25miles and I will have to use the tech...
It will be the charge in the battery, If you download Stunlocker App (it's free) and connect to bike via bluetooth it will show you the charge in the battery. My bike shows 5 bars on the display but the first bar was dropping quicker than normal. Once I got the app I could see that my battery...
Hi ,Stefan
My battery is still charging the 88 to 89%
I'll post up on here if it drops anymore than that. I did manage to get a replacement tech pack battery under warranty as that had an intermittent fault where it would charge but only show one blue light which was the 80% light, think that...
Well where do I start with this one, here goes. I've had my bike nearly 2 years now and done 3200miles on it. I have the tec pack too for those longer rides which I do about once a week. Two or three months ago on a usual route I was losing one bar after 2 miles instead of getting 5 or 6 miles...
I picked my TEC pack battery up yesterday. It was a warranty claim battery and took a week to come. Looks like they hold some stock for warranty claims.
Yeah I've seen your thread with that in it a while ago. Like you say Unless someone else comes on saying they have bought one we will go on that for the time being. Yes my Tec pack was that price 2 years ago and did think the internal batteries would have been a similar price.
I have one being replaced under warranty, was told one was being sent out from Germany and should be her this week but nothing has arrived as yet. I do hope it's not going to take weeks and weeks to get it.
Well get this one, the dealer I bought it from Evans cycles said oh we don't deal with Focus anymore so didn't even want to go any further with a claim (mainly because they couldn't be arsed I think) so a guy I know at Tri UK sorted it for me and made the Phone call.
I emailed BMZ last night to...
Well thats not what I wanted to hear. My man from the shop made a phone call today to derby cycles and spoke to someone in Germany.
He told him the warranty wasn't with Derby Cycles but BMZ who make the batteries and I could send the battery back to them but it could cost me 100 euro if it's not...
Just had mine on charge again and it will only got to 91% charge, just need to find out if this is anacceptable amount of battery degrading after 2 years and 3200miles
