Finished tweaking my new Large Jam2/6.7 with parts I already had (took off my old bikes)
E13 27.5 carbon wheelset.
Flip chip in low/short position reducing chainstays to 427 and wheelbase to 1225mm
Some proper tires - Minion DHF 2.5 front and 2.3 rear
Raceface 800mm sixc carbon bars & 45mm...
Mullet set up - If i was doing it I would try flipping the chip, otherwise the seat angle is going to get very slack. It might be ok without though.
The best mullet bikes seem to be when people take 27.5 frames and stick a 29er on the front, rather than take a 29 and put a 27.5 out back...
Yea I want to run my 27.5 wheels (not plus).
I’ve demoed many ebikes (not the focus, mind) and my favourite by a long way was the rocky mountain altitude because of the 27.5 wheels and short chainstays. It felt most like a normal bike. Sadly i was between sizes L is too short and XL had too...
Sweeet!
Bad weather here so spent the day prepping mine.
Put invisiframe on the stays and underneath, swapped the forks, stem and bars out to my stuff.
Changed the flip chip over for short chainstays / 27.5 wheels.
Cant wait to ride the thing. Round the patio the motor seems very punchy -...
Yea someone has, I definitely recall seeing a fox dhx2 fitted. And I think 230x65mm works too.
But yeas, a progressive spring is a must, this bike blows through the travel quick. I swapped my standard dps out for a dpx2 with a lot of volume spacers and it was a lot more poppy.
The other thing...
My story has twists and turns. So because the colour was wrong, I checked the size sticker on the bike without taking it out of the box. It said medium. Sticker on the box said large. Assumed that they’d put the wrong bike in the box at the factory, hence the mistake. Anyway return arranged...
Well now its going to be me who has an interesting wait. My 6.7 arrived today, 6 days to get here from Germany. And they have sent me the wrong size and colour! Got a wait a week for it to get back to them. Then another week for a new one to get to me!
I guess thats what you have to put up...
Thanks! Mine seems to be stuck in DHL Greenford with a note saying “delivery only by appointment”. I’m guessing I’ll have to wait for a letter with a code to arrange delivery [crying emoji]
Could someone measure their wheelbase?
Its not clear from the geo charts whether the wheelbase is...
Did the shop swap the tyres our or did it come with those? Supposed to be tan walls?
I ordered mine from bikediscount.de on Monday, it got to UK last night, should be delivered tomorrow, Can’t wait!

Yep, I have fox 34 factory 130mm 29 on my hardtail and they flex on that.
Very very strange choice for an ebike.
I’m thinking of getting a jam2 6.7/8 and would pop some fox 36 on before even riding it.
Spectral and Rocky mountain altitude are the only ebikes that handle like normal bikes because of the poppy suspension tune and shorter chainstays.
I love mine. Had a kenevo before this and spectral is way more fun.
I’ve ridden loads of ebikes.
The most playful and snappy bike is easly thr
Rocky Mountain Altitude, with the Canyon Spectral coming in a close second, and Pivot Shuttle 27.5 third.
Reason? Regular mountain bike chainstay length, poppy tunes on shocks, shorter wheelbases.
