She loves her dropper post but good idea... I do have the opportunity of explaining, getting to the best usable weight therefore avoiding issues like the saddle (thanks btw, very good data point).
She has ridden an M10 and likes it very much but wants it lighter and wants to wait for an Ltd but I can't get her one until next year. I can get her an M10 in a couple months and hoping to make it an Ltd or better for around the same price. She call full fat' mopeds...
Based on the upgrade thread I am hoping some will share their research for sure... part of what I am doing here is trying to collect the data to show my wife that within range we can get her a bike within a couple months and maybe a little more up to $1k more I am guessing and still getting her...
I have a really good shot at getting an M10 in the color/size my wife wants but she is coming from a 23lb. Canyon Lux and wants to be able to ride the Rise w/the power off as well as assisted and is willing to put the money into it to go to as low as reasonable. As she is coming from an XC I...
I know that the sram chain has an inside and an outside and if you put it on backwards it is noisy... also the Shimano cassette has special groves that are suppose to work w/the Shimano chain so I would suggest getting a sram chain if you switch to. SRAM cassette
I want to relocate the EW-EN100 to the front of the handle bars removing it from the dropper post cable to make it cleaner and easier to see like the first pictures in this thread. I have to keep flipping it back up to see the led lights the way it is now.
I am very interested in this too... do you just remove a cable from the indicator box (EW-EN100) and pull the SD300-I out a little and connect it directly to the EW-EN1000?
I had my Rise in the shop for one day to put frame protection on and my buddy was in town to ride so my wife offered to take us to the top of Bear Creek trail in Ellijay Georgia and he has a Turbo Levo... only two times was he even close to me riding my Kona but he is a newbie to MTB. My gut...
So the only difference between a 530 and an 830 is touch screen? On my phone w/o a signal I can see any trail forks trail
So the only difference between a 530 and an 830 is the touch screen? I have trouble with my phone touch screen w/my gloves anyway...
When I go out to the Garmin site the only two apps I want have terrible ratings on their site... Orbea Toolbox and Trailforks and their lack of a clean integration.... is this a PICNIC (problem in chair not in computer) or is it truly an app issue?
I am 6’2” and ride the XL and it is slightly bigger than my Kona Process 153... the height of the seat w/the dropper post slammed is a little higher and I only use the full extension of the dropper post when I am climbing. I am a long armed 6’2” and the reach is nice!
So the 530 or the 830 is the way I should go and I can put my phone away because I can still get my Trailforks... what about the cadence and heartbeat monitor? I would assume I don’t need the Garmin cadence monitor since there is one for the EP8... assuming the Orbea toolbox leverages that one...
I use trail forks... it has a great UI and on my phone I can pinch to zoom so my old eyes can see it. I can log on with my computer to plan my next big adventure. Can I do all that with Garmin? And it has all the mtb trails like trail forks?
