Wow, thank you for the in depth responses. Now I feel extra dumb that I was able to solve my problem by uninstalling the app from my watch, and re-installing again. Problem solved.

Ok, solved them problem and the fix was easy and I should have been smart enough to try this before anything else. I just uninstalled the app on my garmin watch, the installed again. Guess what, I can now see battery percentage again.

Rumor has it the new Santa Cruz e-bike with EP8 is expected to be available at the end of Nov. Which if true, is very promising for the Commencal.

I prefer rockshox over Ohlins build. It’s cheaper. And it arrives sooner.

What I’m waiting for is a Kenevo SL. In the meantime I’m currently debating if I want to cancel my order on the New Commencal with the EP8 motor and wait for one of these “light” ebikes.

Agreed. I want a Kenevo SL, but swapped over to the 2021 Commencal due to availability, which is a completely different bike. Will hopefully end up keeping the Commencal for at least a year.

I saw that video as well and was a little disappointed to see the EP8 get smoked on the uphill sprint. In 95% of my rides I’m never sprinting uphill on my ebike, but as someone who does plan to race my ebike in Enduros, having one of the weaker motors is not ideal. But not a deal breaker, still...

With the known shimano motor issues I can’t imagine you’ll get it much sooner than anyone else.
