On a different note, where are all the new manufactures selling there products, there's some stunning bikes at the shows year after year but all I ever see in the uk is limited stock of the same brands.
It would be nice to walk round a bike showroom and see all this stuff from different...
That's interesting, thanks for the test review, I'm seriously tempted when they hit the shops to buy one and ditch the full fat. One more gate or style I have to lift 25kg of push bike over might be the shove I need.
On another note this bike doesn't even look like an emtb, the amount of people...
Some hill climb starts are just not going to happen half way up. Give up and ride back down for another go or learn the hard way by flipping out , that hurts .
These bikes are capable of some ridiculous climbs but I've come to realise lack of grip and flipping out regardless of technique on some...
I had a sneaky day off work yesterday, loaded the bike in the van and went to pines. I did the red route twice then wondered off to have a look round, I ended up on Eakring road, lets just say the part I entered under a few bridges with burnt out stuff and fly tipping didn't feel to safe lol...
Its a quandary for people thinking about making the move, I love the look of these bikes but there on the expensive side.
I cant help but think for where i live and ride it would be ideal, after 2000 miles on my full fat bosch system i guess 3% of that was in turbo.
I mostly slog it out in...
Not sure whats confusing you, its a bomb hole with jumps dug out, if that's you bag then go for it. You keep mentioning trails? Let me no if you find any hidden gems. The map below shows quiet clearly its within a built up area. Red dot is your jump pit.
I wouldn't make a special effort to go, there's no trail network , its just a small park area, there is some jumps and stuff people have built, 10 mile ride there 4 miles pissing about and a 10 mile canal and road ride back
Now that's a ride from last holiday, roll on next year .

After 2.5 years and 4000 miles of riding from my door I need to start looking else wear for some routes.
For those that don't use a Garmin device or Kamoot I would suggest to have a go, they have found me some great adventures that I would have never found left to my own local knowledge.
Time...
Honestly on the 625 batt gen 4 motor left in ECO it will return at least 50 miles ( i can get near 70) switching between ECO and Tour will get you at least 30 miles more like 40. Don't get hung up on the range its a guide but like said above it needs a refence.
I've been riding the bosch gen 4...
Lol, I've been tempted by one of these bikes and I cant help but think it would suit me, I manly ride in eco , tour mode is more than enough but I just cant commit.
For me to go all in I would need a day on one to compare to the full fat on my own terms but that's not going to happen, the other...
Forget what model bike, your in Scotland so your half way there regardless of bike :)
I've just got back from 2 weeks holiday :( on the Argyle coast . Paradise compared to the midlands canal paths.
The cottage garden.
Roll on next years annual Scottish holiday we booked while away, less...
Honestly I don't get the washing thing, its a mtb, it gets dirty. Over 4000 miles on 2 bosch bikes without fault, I don't bother washing anymore, its not a garage queen it gets dirty, when its cacked in mud I just get the hose pipe on the bike and blast away the mud.
I do clean the drive train...
