Looking once again at the fotos you provided I believe I now found the reason for your slack chain.
The process to determine correct chain length is very similar for SRAM or Shimano.
compress the shock to reach maximum length of your chainstay
mount the chain on the largest sprocket and the...
Do you really mean system off?
This will leave you without any display function, the mileage will not be recorded and there is a slight delay when powering up again.
Why don’t you just switch to the OFF mode?
That came with the CX Gen4 motor (non smart) which is not know for having the 1:1 error.
Newest firmware for that motor is 1.1.5.0 and was available since 2020.
I would see my LBS for fault analysis.
How old is the bike and/or firmware?
Some years back Bosch had a 1:1 problem. When chainring and cog on the cassette had identical numbers of teeth, then the system would throw an error. This has been solved for some time now.
Normally not.
Error 503 is a speed sensor fault. I would check the speed sensor cable for correct seating of the plug and the magnet position.
503
Speed sensor fault
Solution steps
Restart the system. If the problem persists, contact your Bosch eBike dealer.
Thanks!
I‘ll try once more. If I remember my first attempt correctly, TQ asks for a lot of legal information to make sure you actually are a dealer / repair shop. Didn’t seem easy to fake that.
Could you be a bit more specific please. I really tried but can’t find any place on the TQ website that offers a download for the service software. Do I need any registration as dealer or something similar?
This is correct and not different to the pre smart motors from Bosch.
In both there are two separate wheel sizes. One is nearly hard coded and can only be changed by the bike manufacturer (with some help from Bosch and a LBS). This value is responsible for the cut off speed.
The second value...
Speed on Bosch motors is monitored by reading the rear wheel revolutions through a magnet/sensor pair and calculating speed from that input. If you are near cut off speed and the rear wheel spins into overspeed this could lead to a drop in support.
Partly right.
The user changeable value only influences the displayed speed to make it closer to actual.
The cut-off speed cannot be changed by the user or a dealership. This is a second value coded into the drive unit by the bike manufacturer.
Hard to believe - not what you say, but what...
With the recent update Bosch has added the functionality to display heartrate data on the Kiox but nothing is recorded. Probably needs another two years of development.
Sorry for the delay.
I had the update installed as planned and could verify the new app functionality showing all versions and the ability to limit max support speed.
Unfortunately my wife, and it’s her bike, has pinched a nerve and can’t ride the bike for some time. Until then I have no idea...
For the Gen3 motor Bosch offers a component connector as part of an ABS. That component connector offers two additional connectors. One is intended for an eShift system and the second one for any other 12V 1A device. Maybe the original owner removed this connector.
You can see a detailed foto...
When my wife bought her Lumen 900 she was afraid the high gloss paint might get scratched or dinged easily. So I recommended buying the original Scott frame protection kit and I applied it first thing after delivery. The kit has more than 20 pre-cut pieces and covers almost any exposed part of...
This can’t be found in the app. You need to search multiple pages on the Bosch website and/or have historic data from earlier versions of that site. Bosch once had very detailed information about motor performance and how much support each mode would deliver. Recently this changed to a more...
