I am still waiting for my Vitus, so I don’t know the Shimano system at all. Does it have a walk assist setting?

Quite a concern that Shimano software (firmware) cannot keep pace with its hardware, especially when its only a couple of buttons.

I am not one for displaying a lot of info on my ride (too busy trying to stay black side down) so the e-7000 looks like it will be OK for me.

Thank you R120, a really informative reply that has answered all of my questions. Since I am waiting for the 2019 Vitus, it seems that I can try the e-7000 first and, if I think a third button would be useful, then look at the e-6010:-)

Thanks. So the e-6010 has a positive click when operated, but it looks huge in comparison with the e-6000. I need to see each of them 'in the flesh' to decide which one to install.

The e6010 looks very big, but you say it is the best of the 3. if you don't mind me asking, why is it better than the e-6000 which is smaller and has the 3rd button? I believe that the 2019 Vitus E-Sommet VR does not use the e8000 shifter, anyone know which one is fitted?

Hi, just went to the iOS App Store to download the Shimano E-Tube Project app. It gets terrible reviews and apparently the firmware upgrade stops at 10% and 'bricks' your Di2 gears. I don't have Di2, is it safe to use with the E-8000 Steps motor system?
