"whom, exactly?" is a quick answer..
Asking if they rode all the way to the trails and replying "cheat" if they drove is also quite good.
Telling them that walkers think they are cheating on their bikes sometimes causes them to think.
But basically, it's ignorance, jealousy, envy or sheer...
Talk to either Trading Standards, or Citizen's Advice. Or check your insurances (house in particular) to see if it gives you legal cover and talk to a solicitor.
Left my wife's Cube upside down on seat and handlebars whilst I took the wheel to the bike shop. Came back to find my daughter's miniature dachshund has decided the bike will be better if she eats through both the hydraulic front brake cable, and the cable connecting the controls and display to...

I'm not actually suggesting I duct tape it on, but it seems to me it's not far off fitting. Ok, not for mega downhills, but it seems to me that one could engineer a metal clip that bolted to the bottle mounts, and another at the top of the tube (or even make an enclosed tube for it to slide...
what things do people use to carry bare essentials for trips (spare tube, tubeless plugs, pump)? - links to good bags/under saddle/on frame carriers. or suitable rucksack etc welcomed. I have a good backpack with waist water bladder, but don't always want even that bulk with me.....
