Don't forget frame flex too. Not rubbing on a stationary bike will be different from what could happen from a large drop. These frames are flexy!

On a road bike you'd have to ride it in 100mm of loose river pebbles to make it feel like it would on an mtb. Or fit some knobbies to the bike.

If you have a look at the Rise bluepaper the washers are between the mount and the frame. Grab some thinner washers.
