First time I saw that black top tube part it made me think the guy did a serious crash breaking the frame, and did a quick repair/camouflage.
A bit like we did with our rotten cars in the eighties and ninetees.
The 5 minutes to the shop is really a good thing.
I have a Cube, but with so much possibilities and versions in both Cube and Trek, what was the difference that made you choose the Trek ?
Apart from the battery coming out at the bottom vs sideways ?
So yesterday I changed back to the summer back tyre.
The Pirelli "R" off, the "M" back on.
The "S" stays at the front.
This is the mileage now, one year after the purchase, the start of this tread.
Into mud/rain/sand/dust with the 12sp 10-51t, that's me.
Every time I put a new chain, I also replace the 10t+12t cogs.
Those cost 18 euro for the set, in the strange occasion of being widely available.
Last time, I also changed the other separate gears, 14-16-18 cost 3 euro each.
No need to...
I drilled the hole, cut a m6 tread, and mounted the mudguard.
2 years after, it is proven that there was no structurally weakening, the structurally weakening didn't affect the safety margin, or the structurally weakening was not relevant to the applied load.
With something like this it must be possible:

It allows +-5mm to be pushed by your finger,
A rubber block behind it can make the setup complete.
I dont really like the Prestas, but for me it's basicly ease of use of the Schraders because the inflator on compressed air is always ready for the rest of my vehicles.
Decathlon Rockrider E-st900 from 2200 to 2000euro:

I see the value is somewhat like the second hand smartphone market.
Both machines have battery issues, hardware issues, still technically evolve very strong and also are kind of fashion.
About 1/2 price after 2 years, a bit higher with maintenance invoices ?
After that, continue to go down but...
What you need is a Kenevo SL, Levo SL or a Scott Lumen Eride.
Those bikes have half the battery (reach and weight), and half the motor (power and weight).
This a better option for a trained mountainbiker that starts to need some extra percentages.
The only disadvantage is that the batteries...
The other 40 wheels around here, from our cars, traktors, kids trailer, kids bikes, lawn mower,... all have normal Schrader valves, and I inflate them with a tyre inflator like you sometimes see at gas stations.
The Decathlon Rockrider E-st900 came with strange valves named Presta, so I drilled...
Promo time.
Over the years the bike costed 2000 euro -> 2200 euro.
Back to 2000 euro now:

Yes presta works too, the hole is a bit smaller.
I use this so I don't have to drill the wheels, but still can pump up with a car tyre tool:

I always was a bit underwhelmed by the split pin in the Deore BR-M6120 MT520 brake caliper.
The Deore XT brakes, and even the Tektro brakes from my Decathlon Rockrider have a bolt with a clip on it.
Then stumbled upon a tread about the conversion on this forum...
