Bit of a bargain of you ask me. Use them as they are or fit the Auron pcs rc2 damper for around £150 and you'll have a superb fork, if a little noisy. Travel can be changed really easily too.
Yes, love Yorkshire too, and a lot of other places in England actually, but definitely not London, that's a proper shithole.
When does the new bike arrive? I can guarantee you that when your out and about on it your worries you mention above will be flung out the window. Enjoy.
My advice is to ignore which motor the bike comes with and choose one with the best spec you can that you like, suspension especially. Brakes too and any other tasty cycle parts.

Why buy an emtb that's 22kg + and ride with the power off? You're all fucking crazy. There's much more capable bikes to be doing that on....and they're 100% human powered.

Worth changing imo. Lockout on a ebike is useless, again, imo.
