I use these shoes on flats - get some Shimano MT33/43/43 cleat covers, which will need trimming very slightly with a stanley blade. They grip like buggery on my Stamp 2's and I have no complaints. Great shoes.
I use a pair of Icon Rascal Select with Shimano cleat covers. Grippy as hell on my Stamp 2s.

They cope very well with the mud too ( waterproof socks help ).
