I switched round last night so it was Chilli-Tech on bars and the Gloworm X2 on the helmet. Much better that way round. I genuinly see no point in the XS over the X2 on your helmet, unless your rides are going to be shorter.
Something like the X2 or X2 Adventure might work for you (I have the X2 - bigger battery) and it's fantastic. Remote can also control a bar mounted Gloworm. 15% of with newsletter sign up as well.

I absolutely love riding at night, but tend to do it in a small group, 5 or 6 of us.
Last time out was the new Gloworm X2 (1700lm) on bars and Chilli-Tech (960lm) on lid. Gonna try it the other way tomorrow. And gonna eventually get another Gloworm so it works off the wireless remote as well.
Strange 2 for 1 incident. 1 puncture and 1 crank falling off, both at the same time. That's on 2 different bikes. Crank fell off a few miles later so i insisted he tighten it right up.
Wow. I didn't read most of that.... ?
I chose Crank Bros. Stamp 2 pedals as they were the thinnest pedals I could find at my price point. They grip like hell and after almost 2 Scottish winters with zero love, they're still going strong, spinning freely.
You and others might choose something...
^^ Steve is correct - too much thinking on your part. Buy a pair of pedals and shoes you like the look of and then just ride your bike.
I use spd shoes with hard plastic cleat covers and the grip from my Stamp 2s is great....ie you have to lift your feet to reposition them. So don't worry...
Seems to be a theme......I also ordered a Proguard bolt on and a Mucky Nutz long mudguard I'm gonna try to fit on the rear. Should be here tomorrow (bike washed with my new Worx Hydro Shot). (y)
I've had a Chilli-Tech 960 lumen light for a couple of months and it's amazing, especially for the price. I have a Aliexpress light too, which is not so good.

I also have a Gloworm X2 that I've had for a couple of weeks...
A less expensive option is an Amazfit Stratos 3 or T-Rex. I've had the Stratos 3 for almost a year and apart from a couple of gps blips, it's been great. The T-Rex is a bit less featured, but crucially, has gps built in. Both can be linked with Strava etc to sync automatically...
