Is a watch o2 meter any use in this situation? I'm always a bit skeptical, especially with Covid, as peripheral sats drop first, but it is a lot easier to have an Apple Watch checking every few minutes in the background...
Good friend of mine was able to test some Outbound lights and really liked them. Helmet light was especially good, although burn time was only about an hour IIRC. He can't figure out a way to purchase them in the UK yet though, one off imports are prohibitive.
Lots of misunderstandings here.
All phones have GPS,. Most can still track you while in Airplane mode, GPS doesn't need cellular signal other than to facilitate a fast initial lock.
That tracking does not help you be traced by anyone, your location history is stored locally on the phone and is...
I moved from E8000 to a Bosch CX Gen4. I agree about the efficiency, the Shimano was not good even before the batteries (plural) disintegrated. More natural though? Certainly not for the Gen4, my favourite thing by far about the Shimano was that it just made you feel like you were 18 and race...
That legislation is in place. You need a CE mark to sell in the UK, which has comprehensive safety requirements. I suspect that many importers and many online retailers do not care and completely ignore.
For garage use that still seems like a bit undersized?
I use the 13 mm chain from Pragmasys, along with two of their massive ground anchors. Their advice is that this is about the point where anything heavier would potentially damage the bikes, and the thieves would just cut the frame anyway...
I hear from my expert friends at TF and Full Factory that the main problem is that big bushings and stanchions are just stickier compared to those on the 36s. They inherently have a lot more stiction and thus worse small bump sensitivity, but compensate by being much better on big drops to flat...
I honestly think it's worth getting new forks serviced immediately so you can then get them properly set up for your weight and riding. 38s are fairly sticky compared to 36s , so for someone of a medium weight it would/might be worth a token or two to allow lower pressures and more small bump...
Depending on how you get on, next step might be to talk to Fin at Full Factory. He's now demoing the TruTune porus spacers that are supposed to be really interesting allowing more fork setup options. I have Fox e36s on my bike, sadly, so he's trying to get a 34 for me to try.
I'm pretty sure this is a thermal issue. Cars that charge really fast have systems to warm the battery up in preparation , and then actively control the temperature of the cells while charging. That's all a bit beyond what is possible in a lightweight bike battery. For now anyway.
Me, I'd like...
Another vote for Exposure here. They're very expensive, so you need to be sure you will use them (keep an eye out, there are some cracking deals online from time to time), but I ride about 5 hours a week at night all winter and my MaXx-D (4000 lumen for bars - 3h on full reflex) and Zenith (1000...
I heard the whole group is gone. CRC, Wiggle etc. Friends in the trade say on bills are no longer being paid and any deliveries to the warehouses are being refused. Rubbish situation.
I've said here before, but Pedalcover.co.uk gave us a really good quote for home cover. They were amazing when we were burgled for bikes at the end of 2019. Unhesitatingly recommend them and am a current happy customer (no other connection).
