Well done !
Im hasten to add too much just, my take on it!
Which I accept, sounds very foolish as £1k is considerable discount.
Local bike shop relationship is priceless, your buying far more than an ebike, more an evolution of R&D that as yet, is not perfected regardless of manufacturer...
I stick with Thule rocks and use the velospace,
The bike sits on the platform and little if any weight is supported by the clamps, though I guess there is G force from the loud pedal
A couple of options for carbon frames, frame wrap or false top bar fitted between post and stem
I noticed it initially after motor swap, changed from series 100 to series 200 motor
Now it’s verging on the dangerous side, whereas initially it was minimal, certainly getting longer engagement.
I’d agree with the above.
I’m on motor 2 and the overrun is getting progressively worse as is the whining! With the occasion ‘clac’ when power is applied after neutral pedal.
I‘ll be taking it soon for a hopeful motor swap
I deleted my first response after rereading your post…
I Could be wrong, but cant help think your making improper use of the 12 gears at your disposal and overly reliant on your mode switch….
When I got my levo, I found the as supplied chainring threw my gear selection, so I changed to a 36...
Response from Crank Brother via Tredz, received and seems like I had the Alloy version FH-904
Where as, freehub FH-903 is steel Version and better suited to E bikes
I’ve sent a note and discussing with tredz who supplied wheel on compatibility between FH-904
Im of The thinking it shall be fine fitting the FH-903, or likewise switching between Microspline or SRAM Xd
Nothing quite so involving fortunately
Three ratchet pawls, a circumference spring and two bearing, so relatively easy to strip
The hard bit would be getting the parts, though probably worth exploring
I removed last last striped, cleaned & lubed, may keep me running for a while until I get...
I’m trying to establish if FH 904 & FH903 is the same part
I‘ll likely order the Part from Commencal but, want to avoid the extortionate delivery/import charges
Notable wear on mine and looking at replacement before breakage
Fitted on my Levo, on a Crank Brother Synthesis wheel with Shimano Microspline
The Part number FH-904 26.11.2019
assuming the later part is a production date (could be wrong)
Nevertheless
After much searching I ”seem” to only...
Thanks for feedback!
From my experiences with Specialized, I’m not all surprised at the resolution.
The support is second to none and after much research prior to my purchase, it was bias on the strength of warranty as opposed to the product, though now, the bike and warranty are on equal merit!
Have you tried pedalling along, then stop pedalling and watch the chain ring for over run ?
I say this as I have a slight intermittent ‘clac’ similar to your description on my late gen2 with 200 series motor!
My over run is getting worse and now effecting the gear change (I back off pedalling...
I’ve had the case where you need to install a spacer in the back
Im currently using a Crank Brother synthesis rear wheel, had to fit a spacer
From the old cassette, smallest cogs have 1 & 2mm spacer - these are ideal
No defined length as such - so many variables I normally buy the most amount of links and cut down
(wasteful I know)
though plenty of rule of thumb guides
Your correct to question
That’s the creaky bolt, cause of much frustration and Bain of my life…..
After motor swap I had bike in pieces hunting the creak, a last ditch rant, I was informed/educated and torqued to 18Nm, creak gone and sublime ride restored!
Note, mInes alloy!
If storing bike for long duration, I run the battery down to circa 50%
I work away and bike is left for weeks at a time, on return fully charge and so far no issues with Battery, many charge cycles and still holding 100% health
Unplug the charge port a single bolt secures battery, then slide...
Thanks for your kind words
Removed battery & scratched head, dumb moment had, mines a 21 and the cables run through the diagonal - Rookie error on my part, never the less I’m sure I’ll find my noise I thought it derailleur clutch but NO!
Ah! Interesting,
I have my water bottle holder removed and noticed recently a rattle whilst on loose gravel or rocks
Looking at the schematic, I guess I’d best copy your thinking (thanks!) as I need the frame clearance for mounting bike on car carrier (better check if true, otherwise refit...
