That's not really relevant to the motor though. I can go down a really steep hill and hit 80kph with the motor off.
It's kind of the point of the thread, is to show how well people motors were lasting.
Na, the Bosch EMTB mode adjusts the amount of assistance relative to the pedal input you put in, but you still change gears manually.
SRAMs auto shift and coast shift, actually change gears automatically in conjunction with the wireless derailleur. It's a whole package with the drivetrain...
I like the look of that! I have ridden the full powered Crafty and that was quite a good bike, but the Neat is under 18kg so would be a lot like my Levo SL.
I agree. SRAM and Shimano will be reluctant having their own MGU as how are they going to sell their very expensive, consumable drivetrain products.
Specialized bore the brunt of all the teething problems of the Brose belt drive motor and when they finally get it sorted SRAM shoulders in on it...
I currently have two bikes. My trusty old 2015 Norco Sight and my 2021 Levo SL.
I've been contemplating upgrading the Sight to a short travel non-Ebike, trail bike as I still ride the meat powered bike with friends who don't ride Ebikes. The Levo SL does get ridden a lot more as have two...
Mounting wise I think it can. There may be the odd clearance issue due to the slightly different shaped housing. You would also need the whole electrical system to go with it. As Specialized at this time won't sell you a motor separately, you would need a wrecked 2nd gen bike to harvest the...
Probably because it's not really needed. You just go by feel, that how bikes have worked for decades. How do you even know that say 5th gear, is even the right gear? You just pedal, and you feel the resistance and shift accordingly. I've never felt the need for an indicator.
If you really need...
Make sure the rim is nice and clean. Isopropyl alcohol is good way to remove any grease from the inside of the rim. Wrap the rim with the tape, trying to keep it fairly well in the middle, press it down so there's no air bubbles under the tape and allow about 100mm of overlap. A heat gun or hair...
Alloy frames fail just as much as carbon ones do and it's fairly rare these day for either to fail in normal riding conditions. I've had a carbon framed enduo bike since 2015 and it's done over 10,000km, 6 years of enduro racing, may sizable crashes and never had an issue with it. Before that I...
But where do you draw the line on what's the original bike? You can crack the frame and get that warrantied as well, but it that the same bike? As I said before, being an Ebike, the thing that most people want to know is how long is the motor going to last. It's an expensive part of the bike and...
Totally agree.
It ends up being like your grandfather's axe, it's had 10 handles and 4 heads but it's still your grandfather's axe.
If we are talking about Ebikes and what everyone wants to know is how long the motor is going to last so the distance the original motor is what would be...
No, it would only be placing the bike under its own weight plus a bit of momentum. Remember, the bike should be able to handle its own weight plus up to three times that of the rider and the dynamic loading. It's either a manufacturing fault or he has clamped it and crack the frame.
Mine is a Levo SL just to be correct.
What if it is known, you put and Asterix * next to the distance for original motor
Looks good though. Nice to be able to see at a glance what people are getting out of their bikes.
Yes, a leader board would be good. Maybe one for original motor and one for the whole bike.
Would also be interesting for a leader board for each motor brand.
I'm now over 5000km on the original motor on my 2021 Levo SL.
