Is dengfu still selling the E10

Ben, when are you guys producing a lightweight frame for the M820 ?

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

Ah you are correct, great forks and really enjoying mine. There seems to be a number regularly on Ebay here in the UK, I paid way less than 1/2 price for mine, they looked brand new and had been ridden for only a few hours. I think the more expensive versions are the coil version rather than...

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

Theres no real advantage of 11spd over 10spd as the motor torque setup almost is better with a wider step between gears unlike a human who needs a constant cadence. You can save a lot of money in the short term and even more in the long term by going 10spd. Look at the Marzocchi Z1, its a 38mm...

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

No real need when you can simply add a few layers of the vinyl wrap or even cheaper you can get some pretty good imitation Carbon Fibre tape ( which is just a thick version of the vinyl wrap ), the chain still hasn't worn through mine after 2.5K Km.

The standard gloss is very good, just add vinyl colour wrap in the appropriate places where the wear and dings are expected. The carbon layup on mine is pretty high quality and the gloss sets its off well.

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

Sorry I might have misled you with the M610 motor, I was thinking of the M560 motor https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/bafang-m560.33293/

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

Watts is watts, the 500 you mention is just a notional value for the authorities to look at and say yep its US spec or 250W an EU. ( its a bit more complex than that, its to do with what amps will cause it to to overheat ) The BBS02 is rated correctly and will max out at about 750W's on the 48V...

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

I've not added any protection other than making sure all the holes in the frame I'm not using are filled with blind rubber grommets. I have a very early frame and I don't have the battery lid release, I know Dengfu did some work around the cover in this region. Ask Patdam or Theaber how they...

Looking for a XL frame fitting a bafang

Those of us in the UK which seems to be the mud and water capitol of the world of Ebiking and have the E10's are not seeing any real problems of water ingress. It always seems counter intuitive that having ridden almost water logged trails how little moisture is actually inside the battery...

    I hate carbon

I'm not sure that is the case anymore. With the hydro formed Ali frames the Ali weight is getting pretty comparible mainly due to the CF being over built to withstand user damage ( you would be amazed with proper finite element analysis how much thinner you could get the wall thickness if you...

    I hate carbon

Aluminium skinned and ribbed aircraft are scrapped after a max duty cycle of about 1/5 of the equivalent carbon aircraft, I wonder why that is ?

    Bafang m510

Energy is needed to get speed, so all part of the equation ;)

    Bafang m510

Guys, have a look at this article https://betterbicycles.org/bicycle-power-calculations/ A quick glance will tell you that there are just so many variables that to ask for each rider to report Wh used is almost meaningless. Even a change in temperature alone will mean a change in battery...

Gearbox EMTB's that you can buy (+IGH bikes)

Mitsubishi, Nissan,Subaru, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, GM and others seem to think otherwise. Most drivers using any of the Jap cars with auto boxes probably don't even realise its a CVT box as the computer controls a step change to imitate a gear change. My Scooby will go from 0 - 135mph absolutely...

I have a 2018 Leader Fox Altar (Bafang Max Drive ?) which died overnight.

I don't think the M510 motor was in existance in 2018. Maybe and probably only a maybe M600 or more likely one of the BB series if its actually a Bafang.

Hope, any good or average and overhyped??

And there lies Hopes big advantage, long term use. I've used Hope products for nigh on 30 years in one form or another ( how many have the original non hydraulic front disc setup in their loft ) still run 10 year + old hubs, just replaced the occassional bearings ( which are easily sourced )...

    Bafang m820

I would say thats a very good output for such a small light motor. If you want more then the M510 is waiting and even more then the M560. Quite a good range, if only Bafang would get all the Apps and BT control over the motor setting up to par with all the other manufacturers.

    Bafang M560

I disagree, my M600 without throttle will keep up with the Brose's of my friends Specialized turbos fairly comfortably and I suspect that it maybe a tad more powerful. But I do have a caveat, I run mine on a 52 volt setup and can see well over 1000W's on a full power climb ( which I very rarely...

Top Mid Drive Unit and Frames Suppliers for eMTB DIY Projects! (Including Our Expert-Sourced List)

Most here on this forum are a tad reserved about DIY, much preferring fully built frames and motors of a known brand that can be pieced together. Outside of Tongshen and Bafang, few would have fitted other motors. Check out this forum and ask the same question, you will get a far more wide use...
