Thanks for doing the review. I’ll be moving at some point and this helps with choosing a property when I might have to compromise on space etc.
I wonder if there are alternatives?
I’m about to pick up a T6 soon so it started me down the track of split charge systems with options for a solar panel (and able to cope with regen and smart alternators in EU6 vehicles). Devices like Ctek D250s for example. Looks like you get what you pay for with this stuff, as ever.
There’s a discrepancy between the spec on the Specialized Concept store sit’s and the main Specialized site (UK).The main Specialized site has Performance and Rhythm listed. That’s basically the same as what you found out (Concept store has performance elite and performance for the two models -...
As an indicator there was a waiting list of around 5 months in many bike shops last year in the UK for the Levo Comp Carbon. I gave up waiting in the end and went for something else.
The SL is shown as completely sold out on the Specialized website for some models. The market is out there for the volume they produce. As mad as that sounds.
Good idea.

I struggle to believe that’s true. The Performance Elite on the Expert is one of the things that sets it apart from the Comp Carbon with its Performance GRIP fork.
In fact, do we know if the forks they’ve used are the 34e (e-bike specific) or the regular 34?
Just because it’s from China doesn’t mean it’s the same quality. I’m not saying it definitely won’t be, but like @Doomanic says it’s a risk. Not just to the battery but also the vehicle you’re charging from if it overheats.
From the Pinkbike article, this won’t please owners then:
”The non-motorized bike gets a sealed bearing in the rearward shock eyelet that the Heckler skips for clearance reasons”
