The Paralane2 felt about 15kg with the battery and motor installed when I picked it up. So maybe 13kg with it removed. Could be wrong though. The Bike Radar review of the Cairn claims 16kg with everything installed. At 95kg I’m not too fussed by 2-3 kg weight difference on a bike but I do find...
I recently bought a Garmin 1030 but it was dreadful so it went back. I use the Sigma Sport ROX 12. This is a higher end device with excellent training features. The mapping is spot on and uses Open Cycle routes that are constantly being improved upon by users.
The Fazua drive disengages at 25kmh and I've ridden the Focus Paralane2 with the same system and you can't feel it disengaging or any drag at all when you go over the limit. It's a very natural feeling. One thing I hated about my E8000 motor was the drag after 25kmh. There's no such problem on...
Spotted this Whyte e-gravel bike on GMBN...
There’s some rumours about the new Whytes coming out in a few months using a new Bosch drive system but this e-gravel bike uses the Fazua system so maybe they’ll launch an emtb to compete with the Lapierre eZesty.

Been thinking about a Haibike. Maybe wait until the Flyon NDURO 8.0 comes out. However speaking to a dealer this weekend he claims Haibike quality is not good. He actually sells Haibike so it’s not not like he’s just trying to rubbish a competitors bike. He said two recently had to be fully...

This is bad news but seriously guys all this talk of security and tracking devices is just pointless. If a group of thugs want your bike they'll take it. Unless your Jackie Chan or can sprint beyond the motors 15.5mph limit you ain't stopping them. A tracker is useless because all it does is...
I've been running Magic Mary 2.8's for a few weeks now on my Focus Jam2 but I found them too slow and a bit draggy on my usual Cambs XC route so today I switched to WTB Trail Boss 2.6 Tough Fast Rolling rear and WTB Vigilante 2.6 Tough Fast Rolling front. Will post my thoughts after a few rides...
This kit is good as it's very soft lambswool... Woolly Trio
Especially good if you have a matt paint finish. The small brush gets into the gaps around rear shock linkages.
Well there's a couple of places near me with that kind of god awful clay type mud that clogs everything up but at this time of year I'm going down there to try it out! Thing is it makes no difference at all if you have mudguards or not when the mud is like that. It will clog up either way.
Slightly modified Mudhugger FRX front mudguard fixed to rear for all conditions including semi dry where crap would still collect in the swing arm pivots and then if it’s super wet the Mudhugger 29er rear fits over the top without the FRX having to be removed. So the FRX stays fixed permanently.
