peak power (or any power) is not 'the specs'... thankfully. Maybe its just me but a power arms race is the last thing I am interested in or want to see driving development.
this may be the problem.
edit: If you can't see it on the spokes then it sounds like it's gone... so I expect you will need to have a word with your dealer or whoever put the bike together / checked it pre sale as it shouldn't fall off...
I have a KTM Freeride E-XC and its definitely nothing like my eMTBs... which do not try to rip my face off and make a hole in time at the twist of a right hand grip :)

I prefer the shape of the frame just above the motor though, with the slight angle up vs the other 2021 pic of the Essential MT29, motor seems like it wants to be angled up slightly more... purely for aesthetics mind...
When I got my first emtb my nipper was also 3yo and we got a Weehoo trailer so we could go on long rides on a big euro motorhome trip we did ... it worked very well with the ebike but wouldn't fancy tugging it around without assist. I never got round to selling it and we actually went on a 40...
