Was able to ride an ORBEA Rise M10 last weekend and it is a very nice e-bike, the light weight makes it feel like a regular mtn bike. Would I switch from my Kenevo Expert?
NO, for the following reasons:
1. Lack of power. I am not a light rider, 6'4" 220 lbs, so the extra power of the Kenevo is...
Destroyed two Butcher Grid tires on the rear of my Kenevo before switching to the Diamond Back. The Diamond Back has a much more robust casing and haven't had any issues with it.
Glad to see I'm not the only who has had the walk assist not disengage when releasing the button.....first time it happen I thought WTF......there I was trying to climb up a STEEP rock face I could not ride with rear wheel spinning out of control. Turning off the battery and restarting seems to...
Put a Bafang BBSHD on a KHS 1000 Fat Bike and it turned out very well, use it for urban commuting and riding in the snow. The Bafang mid drive kits will work well for you but your biggest challenge with a full suspension bike is where to put the battery.
Have fun!
Yes, the unenlightened will occasionally blurt out the "cheating" comment and I just ignore them or smile and say "have a nice ride'. They are truly not worth engaging.
Get the Kenevo! Sounds like you may be downhill orientated and the Kenevo has the correct geometry and is very capable. But there is not a bad choice either way.
Creaking....yes my kenevo started creaking and it turned out to be the frame to seat post connection needed to be greased. Now when the creak comes back a quick removal of the seat post to clean and regrease solves the problem. Did the same on my manual carbon StumpJumper and the frame quieted down.
At 6'4" 210 lbs and a 36" inseam the Kenevo XL fits me perfectly. Yes the XL Kenevo is a very big bike and I love it! So capable in all conditions, uphill, downhill, trails, and general riding I don't see trading this bike off anytime soon. My poor Stumpjumper is gathering dust.
Something was not right in the set up of the shock, guessing the the spring tension or spring retainer was improperly set allowing a misalignment with no load on the spring so that when the hit impact occurred the slight misalignment caused the mess in the picture.
Just guessing.
Believe the only difference between the 2018 Kenevo the 2019 Kenevo is the paint scheme. The Kenevo is a great bike, very happy to have chosen the Kenevo over the Levo. The 180mm suspension and the 65 degree head angle suit my riding very well.
Alway rode cleats on my road and mtn bikes until I starting riding an e-mtn bike. So naturally started e-biking using cleats and quickly found out that flats were much safer than cleats! Technical terrain is better ridden using flats and the consequences of pedal strikes are much worse when...
I too ride and 2018 Kenevo and weigh about the same 105 kg (210 lbs) with gear but run the 27.5x2.8 Butcher Grid front and the Butcher BLK DYND rear. Have found 20 front and 22 rear to be great for most conditions, but you will need higher pressures if you are bashing hard on rocky terrain more...
