Levo Comp MY 2021: when I turn power on, it always comes up in TRAIL. Was wondering if this is normal.
I can however switch to ECO or TURBO at will. It just bothers me a bit that while riding without support (I tend to do that sometimes) and then switching on, I get that sudden kick...
After owning a Giant Trance e2+ Pro for over a year that had so many flaws and issues, I have now a Levo Comp 2021. Couldn't be happier. Only done 1900 km so far (over half of it in wet/muddy conditions) but no (literally NO) issues so far. Motor is very quiet, delivers power when I want it, as...
They don't ?
During my first ride I lost one of the little bolts that clamp the rear brake liner (LBS probably forgot to tighten it and tbh I forgot to check).
Got a new one instantly. LBS seems to have all replacement bolts.
You could buy the 2022 Levo. New design for that part to keep all moist out... :giggle:
On the other hand. I have about 750 miles on the 2021 Levo Comp in mostly very wet & muddy conditions...never noticed water ingress.
I had the same experience: coming from a Giant Trance e2 Pro and moving to the 2021 Leco Comp was a very good decision.
I have covered some 750 - mostly very wet/muddy - miles.
Maybe (certainly) not the best looking but while we were in deep mud (in some places over the axles) these things are keeping us pretty clean. My mate with his Giant has a slightly shorter rear fender which causes some mud pile up on his Camelbak. Not a dirt trace on myself.
My 2021 has Shimano 12 sp. I bought replacement cogs 10-12-14-16-18 (cost about 2€ each), so I can replace the worn cogs if needed together with a chain replacement.
The bigger cogs are used rather occasionally since long steep climbs aren’t really ’available’ where I live :sneaky:
I still have this one stored, don't ride it anymore, but it's such a nice one, though it's about 20 yo. Still is good as new though...
XTR / Race Face / Mavic Crossmax / Fox / Marzocchi Bomber.
Must have done about 100.000 km... :)
The mud will still pile up, but can't do any harm with this linkage protector: Specialized Turbo Levo
I'm using it since a few weeks in very muddy conditions and it works great.
Easy to install (special velcro patch), easy to remove, weighs close to nothing and the bottom part is a bit flexible.
The linkage protector here: Specialized Turbo Levo
Front is this one: RapidRacerProducts | ProGuard BOLT ON
And ( not in the pic) in the rear I have the Mudhugger installed: LARGE Rear Mudhugger
Tbh, I'm not a fan of the looks of the mudhugger but it does what it is supposed to do and does that...
Will this work on the Levo ? https://www.bike24.com/p2359737.htm
I had this steel version on my previous Giant Trance and it has done some 4000 km and still little sign of wear.
Atm I have this TA alu ring on the Levo (about 500 km and it shows some wear already) TA ONE 104 Chainring, 4-arm...
It could be, but I did bed the brakes in properly and they were fine for about 450 km.
Then suddenly (it was a very wet/muddy session) the brakes started trumpetting.
I am 178 cm (lost 3cm while aging :cautious: ) and I opted for the Large.
I tested both L and M versions and felt much more at ease on the L (where I have even 3 spacers under the stem).
The M was probably the option to have a even more playful and agile bike, but at my age and driving style...
Well, 'ridiculous' as it may be, it's still a fact.
It's not only delivery. To deliver something, it has to leave the production line first. Or do you think COVID only has an influence on delivery of goods... ?
