Hi AusE
I had the same dilemma and went out the next day with 3 bars ( Cube Bosch motor). I ran out of
battery 5km's from home and live at the top of a steep hill.
I learnt my lesson and charge every ride now !
I upgraded my forks to Rockshox Judy Gold about 4 months ago.
They work really well but the axle (boost 15mm x 110mm) has a cam lever to tighten it which then locks with a cam action. The cam part has stopped locking and the lever just flops. The axle stays in place but it isn’t locked.
Anyone...
Thanyou for posting this. I have a Cube hybrid and I thought I had a distorted front disc, but tried this after reading your post....and it worked!
Great..G.
Yes
I bought mine, Cube Reaction Pro 500 this August and had never ridden one.
First time on the road it was easy to exceed 25 kph and couldn’t feel the motor but as soon as you get off road on a trail there is s nice “kick” and even more uphill.
Love it!
Yes will do......but it seems strange that the noise was inly evident after the fork change?
I an not back in the UK until next week so will check then.
Thanks G.
I have done that and loosed the caliper bolts and applied the brake ti centralise it.....a bit better but still a slight noise. I have seen “universal” post to post spacers and wonder if Cube have their own matched to the original fork?
Yes it fits and I have been riding with it for a month or so but there is a slight rubbing noise......it could be that the rotor is sllghtly out of true.
The post mount on the old and new fork do look completely different spacing so thought I’d ask. G.
Thanks Steve for a really helpful reply.
I may go with Grenny’s tyre choices as he has the same bike as I have and I’ve already taken his advice on a fork upgrade.
I think I ride similar trails to you.
