Suspected that would be the case. I will eventually replace the specialized epic with something more playful and trail capable that also includes a dropper to work on those manuals and hops.
It finally happened! After the battery charger fiasco I could finally take my bike to the trails in what was not only my ride on this bike, but my first ride on a ebike in general.
Coming from a ultra light Specialized Epic, this was quite a departure. You can feel the bike weight all the time...
@Tim funny enough, in my case Canyon is trying to justify itself by saying the site shows the correct information, when I've mentioned it has displayed the previous information for months after I've placed my order. Geez....

To update on my charger situation, Canyon has already shipped the missing charger via UPS, so it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.
I know its not the same for everyone, but aside from the glaring omission and the frustrating initial response, I must say they have handled this pretty well...

Hearing all these horror stories really makes me anxious, but not to discredit anyone's experience, I'm still willing to give Canyon the benefit of the doubt, and will see how they resolve this during next week.

Hi, my Canyon Spectral came with the wires from the remote to display and motor to display both disconnecting. I have two ports open on the display, but can see any markings on the display about which cable should go where. Can I connect either cable to any port or is there a specific order?
Geez, so sorry for your experience. For a direct sale brand one would expect better customer service, and to be fair that has been my experience up to this point. Just not on this one. I'm hoping they will make it right next week, we'll see.
Portugal, trying to find a store here that has the chargers on stock but so far no luck. I'll probably go with @dirt huffer suggestion of buying it with expedite shipping and ask for a refund. This weekend is done, but hopefully I'll manage to get on the bike next week ?

I can't express how angry and frustrated I am with Canyon right now.
I've waited 6 months for this bike, spent a lot of money on it, and today I got the package.
NO CHARGER ON THE PACKAGE!
And to top it all, customer service says no biggie, we'll get a charger to you in 3 weeks.
The switch is indeed the E7000, but the display is the SC-E8000 version. They had a typo on the site and that was changed today.
I've order the Spectral:ON 9.0 2019 spec. Can't wait for it.
