I’ve just bought an Orbea wild with dual battery kit for £3450 from lbs. I already have the second frame mount battery so I have 1000w of power for longer rides. the Orbea also rides superbly
I’ve just bought an Orbea and got 15% off with not much haggling, if you do think you’ll ride again put it to one side as you’ll never buy another the same as cheap as you‘ll have to let it go now
Picking up a gen4 Bosch orbea. Comes with 29” wheels and I want to fit my 27.5 hopes to it. ive read if I upgrade to the kiox display I can set my wheel size, is this correct or do I need to get the dealer to do it ?
Oops, it’s a shame as the bikes are good to ride and the after sales is great but I’d prefer a more reliable product over being a beta tester for them. The Trek I hired even with the old Bosch motor rode just as well.
I think I’m going with a new Orbea so I have the dual battery option
I’ve got a 2018 Scott with the gen3 Bosch motor and when I pedal backwards there is virtually no resistance. Yesterday I hired a trek with the same motor, when pedalling backwards there is a lot of resistance, had the same Bosch mine has. Mate on same hire bike had same issue so assumed neither...
looking at the Orbea wild as it has the dual battery option available and my existing bike has a PowerPack 500 battery so I could use that on the orbea to give 1125wh. Any other 2019/2020 bikes that have this capability, preferably the bosch motor, thanks
So a bike with less power and less range is lighter ?, in other news the Pope is catholic.
I’m sure it rides great in fact I’m positive it does but that’s because lighter bikes do despite a few years of folk telling us a heavier ebike rides the same as a lighter bike. As with anything...
So this £11k bike does it ride as good as a £3k normal bike ? I’m a big ebike fan as I have a knackered knee but if I had a choice I’d be on a normal bike any day of the week. I’m struggling with the concept of an £11k bike with lower power and less range. If you add the extender it’s no longer...
I guess it’ll be lighter to push or carry when it breaks down on the trail. Hopefully they‘ve put some effort into reliability and build quality. I’d sacrifice a few kgs to have an ebike with proper waterproofing and a reliable motor. Maybe this is time will tell
I rejected mine and got my money back after 3 weeks. Their customer service is very good tbh and no complaints in that respect. But a £5k product should last longer than 90 miles before needing a new motor. They‘re a premium product but don’t have premium build quality. Any item that fails in...
Funny update to this, got the bike back and was 32 miles into a ride and all well with the motor...then the rear mech exploded and that was that. A 4 mile walk home lol
Bike came home, managed 32 miles today before the rear mech exploded and ended the ride, known problem with the sram gear so it’s back to the shop again !
Bike is home, dealer has been great taking it in with no notice and fixing same week, had a long chat with them and can’t fault their service or Specialized so we‘ll see how it goes. Dealer is JE James at chesterfield and I’ll be using them for wife and daughters next bikes.
