My GX AXS T type has failed with the same problem. One of the two brass pins is slightly recessed
and looses it's springiness which is necessary to make contact.
The problem arises without warning and it just stops shifting mid-ride. A change of battery and no result,
then on...
Just an update. The supplier of the Cargo locknut says it does fit…..same thread. I have ordered on as I need on anyway but it may solve the loosening issue in the OP.
I must say I have had 3 Bosch gen 4 motors in separate bikes and never had a problem with the 25-30Nm recommendation.
Interestingly (or not!) I was looking for a CX gen4 locknut.
Mine has a 25-30Nm printed on it.
I found a Bosch Cargo locknut, which looked the same but had 35Nm printed in it.
Maybe a different nut or made from a different material ? Needs a lot more torque to shift those boxes.
Sorry a bit late to this but a really good site for France with GPX files is
Les plus belles randos VTT et VAE pour votre GPS
My area is SW France but I think it has trails all over the country.
I've bought a lot from Wiggle and CRC in the past..the go to really inc the 12%, and they sent Haribos that my wife liked.
Anyone got a go to alternative, in the UK ?
If you are the original owner I think the bearings are guaranteed for life so Whyte may send new ones.....but you will have to fit them...or my LBS did for small charge.
Just one point about the Epix v the Fenix. The Fenix is rated at 50 mts+ so great for snorkelling and even scuba diving. The Epic is surface swimming only which seems a bit of a downgrade for such an expensive watch. I know it won't affect MTB-ers (or shouldn't) but everyone goes on holiday !
