I'm not convinced it is the battery lock. I went for my 4th ride on Saturday on the new bike and it turned off 3 times in 23klms. I removed the battery and after the last one and was on my way back by then, so wasn't overly annoyed.
Have some mates with E Pro 1's and they have been making sure...
Hi Sophie, over here in Aus, the SX 0 is exactly the same specs as the 1 except for the suspension upgrade ( factory forks 160 travel, coil rear) wheels, hubs, and all drive components SRAM. The 0 has the same suspension as the SX 0 except forks are 150 travel, Air shock Rear and all driveline...
Had a ride with a few friends yesterday arvo, Paul also on a new 0, Darren and Mandy grabbed a couple of demo bikes and we did 21klms with 425mtrs of climbing and Darren and i did another 26klms this morning with approx 610mtrs of climbing . The new 0 is awesome.
Hi Sophie, they came with the bike as standard. I could have kept changing wheels under warranty, but that is just inconvenient to both myself and the bikeshop, mainly me because i was the one walking. I could have ponied up for new hubs. My LBS has been really great and looked after me with the...
I don't mind the stock seat either, the one on the Epro 1 is a little more padded and a different shape to the Epro 0. Stock lights on the control work fine for me, red is evil though, get back to your car or were ever you leave from asap. Power modes, i like the 5. I test rode, Carbon comp...
G'day FTS, new bike. Like you, my LBS has been nothing short of awesome to deal with. I have had issues with my Pro 1 basically since i have had it. So it was agreed that it was time for another bike, so they looked after me on price and i upgraded. They did get a new E PRO 1 in for me but...
Yeah, its funny seeing what the different countries get, we don't get the E Pro 2 in Aus but get the 0, SX 0, 1 and 3. Basically the retail prices here go up approx $1000.00 with each model. $5999 for the 3, $6999 for the 1, $8299 for the SX 0 and $8999 for the 0. What you pay is different, but...
Got a few differences from the SX, change from SRAM Code to Shimano XTR brakes, Shimano XTR gearset with a range from 10-51, rear air shock, 10mm less travel in the forks and price. Same frame across the range.
I think the ratchet system in the DT Swiss hubs might be a good option or a hub with more than 3 points of contact. A lot of load gets put through the drive system and the hub seems the weekest link.
I have not been able to find any info on the www about them and don't know anyone with one until next week hopefully?. Only info i can find is the SX 0.
This is the inside of my 1st freehub. Lunched all the pawls and the ratchet gear.
This is the inside of my second freehub.
Broke a pawl and it spun the ratchet gear inside the hub. They are screwed into place.
My 1st one sounded exactly like that. Was not anything left inside that was any good. The second one broke a Pawl then spun the body inside hub. It was quite because it was jammed and spinning the body inside the hub. When it happened i thought it was wheel spin going up and over tree roots...
