That's very interesting, thanks for sharing. I read somewhere that the larger battery on the Slash+ meant the TQ motor would operate more efficiently and have thermal limiting less often, compared to the smaller battery in the EXe. Some of the slash+ tests seem to bear that out. I'd think that's...
#1 reason weight does matter is very steep terrain. Many of my favorite trails are going to require some up/down carrying. Sometimes it's dbl-black+ hucks/rolls where riding might be an option, but maybe not by me, or on that day, if ever.
Other times it's backcountry with primitive trail...
In 2yrs I have only experienced that twice with the TQ, on very hot days, but I use boost mode sparingly. TQ changed something here in their firmware, it's less of an issue than it used to be.
Regardless of the limiting, the motor w/360wh battery seems much less efficient in boost mode, the...
Keeping saddle height in mind... A 200mm v2 dropper (actually a shimmed down 210mm) has a stack of 233mm. So min saddle height on a L (measured from BB) would be 28" / 71cm.
I think the point is that DJI is knowingly supporting Russia's war effort, and could be doing more to control their supply chain.
Ukraine is using them too, so I'm not here to say it makes sense. But there is no doubt hobby drones are being used as weapons.
It wouldn't stop me from buying an...
I saw it here
But I am also not surprised if they let you up, especially with a lightweight eBike.
With an eBike I've only ridden Whistler outside the bike park, which is awesome! Best riding there is outside the park IMO.
If you ever make it back to Bellingham get in touch. What all did you...
It survived one run, even with those EXO/EXO+ casings. I wouldn't read too much into it. Ive had a heavier bike fold in half on A-line and did not enjoy walking down, or noticing all the ventilators and cut-up hydration packs off the trailside.
Also amazing is that they presumably let the bike...
It's the bike though. There isn't really currently an option for a <50lb bike with a full-power motor, enduro geometry/parts and 160mm+ travel. Propain Sresh with the enduro build/mullet is close.
I haven't ridden their Kenevos but we've all ridden together. And we're all different weights/heights so I wouldn't deduce much from it.
One ride, we had myself, my GF on her Devinci with Bosch SL, and her friend on a new Levo SL.
I prefer SL.
I owned a full power for 2yrs previously (Norco Sight VLT). I rode that bike about %30 and a propain tyee 70%. When I rode the full power more than half the time, I really felt my climbing fitness decline when I rode my "meat bike" with friends who didn't have ebikes, or on trails...
I took a look at the Amflow website which shows the batteries in the downtube. Looks like the 600 ends at the upper WB mount, but the 800 goes all the way up to the headtube which will raise the center of gravity some.
With their kink in the seat tube, & relatively long seat tubes in relation...
Nice ride and I find that weight quite reasonable for your build.
If you believe Trek's published weights, the Slash+ is only 1.33kg heavier than an EXe with the same SLX/XT parts and same wheels/tires.
The 580 battery is .845kg more than the 360
So only .485kg more to go from a 36 to a 38 &...
Regardless of brand, seems like the life-span of eBike motors is around 2yrs if they're ridden hard. Maybe less for SL motors.
I think this is the salvation of the LBS - and only the good ones. Their experience dealing with the warranty process means a lot more to me than all the AMAZING...
Somewhere I read the new Bosch Gen5 motor uses the same mounting bolt pattern as the SX motor- but not the previous gen CX motors. Between that and the batteries, makes me wonder if the E-troy lite could be convertible to a FF, or take the 600w Bosch battery etc. That would be so cool.
i found a RH one locally, 1-2 weeks ago. It's been awesome- I never got on with any of the previous AXS shifter ergonomics, this is much better. After a few rides I mostly quit using the large textured "button" surfaces, now I just use my thumb/index finger on the nub...
