Now my Bullit arrival is pushed back to July. Tried to jump ship for a new Levo but the Gen3 date is next fall/winter!!!! Also I just checked and you can buy a new KTM 890r enduro motorcycle for less than a Specialized Turbo Levo S-Works! I had a KTM 790r enduro and that is a high end...
Now I am back to the Bullit. Levo S-Works or Pro, ETA next fall or winter. Bullit this July. Never thought I'd say it but the top of the line Bullit is cheaper than even the new Turbo Levo Pro. Not sure about the Kenevo SL. If they go with smaller battery and motor then no interest for me...
I placed a deposit down on a Bullit as soon as the bike was announced, and today my local dealer found out from Santa Cruz that the bikes are sold out. Seriously WTF??? Even more absurd is that I am on the west coast of the USA. Told the dealer to look into one of the new Specialized Turbo Levos...
In the USA. Put in a deposit as soon as the Bullit was announced months ago. Holding out for the bronze color. Just sent an email to my dealer to see if there is any ETA. Ugh.
Gotta laugh when they say "a new bike is here". Where exactly. Not available online. Not available at any local dealers. Probably an outrageous wait time to get one. Just the pandemic times I know, but frustrating none the less. I still have my deposit down on a Bullit. The Turbo Levo still...
Wondering if it is the motor or battery or both that seems to give less range. I have serious Brose/700wh envy, but not enough to buy a Turbo Levo because I like the SC bikes so much. At least the Shimano batteries are a little easier to carry in a back pack.
I keep reading stuff good and bad about the Bullit and sometimes think I should go for a Kenevo, but I am sticking with the Bullit. Also the Shimano batteries are easier to change out and carry. For my size I think even with the Brose/700wh setup I might run out of battery compared to my...
Lengthy interview with the SC CEO. Would not want to be in his shoes trying to secure parts and such. Tough times for all. At some point they were even having issues getting their cardboard boxes! Really illustrates the challenges for the bike manufacturers.
I am 6'2" and 193 lbs and currently ride a SC Heckler with the 504wh battery and E8000 motor. I ride with lighter riders on Turbo Levo bikes with the Brose motor and 700wh battery. I have to carry an extra battery for most rides but my friends on the Levo bikes never do. Also I feel like I...
Thanks for the insights. I ended up with a Camelback Fourteener 26 pack to carry a spare battery. The larger 630wh battery fits too. I bought a battery cover for the 630wh battery direct from the Santa Cruz website. The one for the 630 is a lot less robust than the one for the 500wh battery...
I love the Camelback products. I have settled on the much larger Fourteener 26 to have room for a spare Shimano battery plus other stuff. It's a big pack but once on I forget about it. I look forward to the day when we don't need to lug spare batteries along for those big days.
I will keep my order for a Bullit, but I have to say it is really disappointing that the Shimano EP8 still does not have the range (not apparently even close) of the Brose setup. I was hoping the EP8/630wh would at least get close. I already have an extra battery and SC battery cover. I was...
The woman who heads EMBA seems to be sympathetic to eMTB and recognizes they are here to stay. Her biggest worry is that there will be big time pushback from environmental groups and/or hiking groups so she is all for using caution to not trigger anything. I sympathize with her. I have listened...
Never ridden a Kenevo, but a 29er front will help for rocky stuff and roots that want to grab a 27 inch wheel. I put a 29 on my SC Heckler and that transformed the bike for me. I was all ready to order a Kenevo and mullet it when the SC Bullit came out which is already a mullet, so I have a...
