I bought the Berghaus Deluge over trousers from Amazon - they roll up really small to go in your pack and have a full length zip at the side so they're easy to throw on without taking your shoes off if the weather gets bad.
So far they've been really good, I think I paid around £40...
No worries. I had no problems with the Guide Re's to be honest. I just fell down a colour coding rabbit hole which was originally supposed to cost me about 150 quid. Well, we all know how that ends....
I can't wait to give these a try though, I already love the levers and I've not even...
I found this webpage from the markings on the pad. Looks like they're made by Galfer
GALFER - Brake pads for bicycle and mountain bikes
"The new compound G1652 stands out for its resistance to high temperatures, braking power, durability and absence of noise. Developed specifically for...
...and the front is fitted. No bother at all but I'm not attempting the rear as I've got no cable cutters or bleed kit. It's booked in to BikeScene on Saturday to get that one done.
No, I've messaged Hope on Twitter so I'll let you know if they come back with any info. I've fitted my front and put them in so I'll bed them in in the morning and see what's what.
Well, my V4s finally arrived. They've come with 3 sets of pads - Sintered, presumably standard (red back) fitted and an e-bike specific pad as well ?? Does anyone know anything about these as I can't find anything on t'interweb.
Likewise. If you find one that fits and doesn't make you look like you've got the Leaning Tower of Pisa on your back please post back and let me know ??
If it's the one that Rob reviewed then the answer is yes, but only just, and only if you remove the bash guard first. I haven't found anything that one'll comfortably fit in yet but it's a pretty weighty beast to be carrying around anyway.
Not sure if anyone has already posted but I got an email from CRC. You can get 14% extra off all Vitus e-bikes until the 20th Feb with the code LOVEVITUS.
That takes a Vitus E-Sommet VRX with Fox Float 36 Factory FIT GRIP 2 and DPX2 Factory to £4299!
Cheers
Or a VRS for £3439?
Thanks again!
I presume it's possible that the different shapes of the calipers could make them incompatible with my stock adaptors?
I'm basically trying to avoid booking my bike in to get them fitted and then having to leave it due to the wrong adaptors ? I'm aware you haven't tried them so...
? Yeah, now I'm just more confused haha.
So, basically, HBML will be the correct size for 200mm rotors on my 180 post mounts front and rear.
...and, finally. will I need these adaptors or will the stock ones already fitted work as they convert from 180 - 200 already, albeit with different...
M is to go to 220.
So, it is brain freeze.
I thought that the post mount number was the distance between the posts on the fork/frame? So, either 160 or 180. A 20mm difference. Is that not the case?
For what it's worth, I'll not be fitting these brakes (good thing) but I'd like to get all the...
Hope HBML is listed in their documentation as
Postmount 160 > Postmount 180mm
Postmount 180 > Postmount 200mm
Presumably, that should be two completely different parts or is my brain not working correctly?
