The idea might be quite good.
Reality:
You can't buy Bosch, Yamaha or the others without returning the old motor (except Bafang as far as I know)
They don't want exactly this to happen what you suggested.
So it's almost impossible to get a new motor and warranty on it.
If a brand would invent...
After two years with a rear Mudhugger on my Allmtn 6, I tried the first kilometers on my 7 without a rear fender:
I went into my house as usual.
Dropped mud all over the place.
Went through the living room into the kitchen (needed sth to drink) and from there to the bathroom (needed a pee)...
Today was my first ride with the new 7.
Well, I didn't lose the battery cover
Coming from the 2018 Allmtn 6 geometry the 2021 Allmtn 7 is a new world.
You don't sit on the bike but in it.
The front is higher and there is more space to move around between the bar and the seat than on the...
Loamy soil will always clogg your wheels.
No big difference if you have mudguards or not.
The mud will stick between the chainstays, the forks, everywhere where parts are close to the tyre.
In Germany we call them Biobikes.
I just checked my pics and found out that I don't have a single pic of my biobikes but one trillion pics of my eeebs.
At least I know it's a Centurion and a Cannondale. :sneaky:
Thanks for the review.
The standard dopperpost (XLC) should pop up only by pushing the lever.
No extra weight required.
I have three of them running on my Haibikes and all are the same.
As a first solution try some WD40 or better Brunox fork spray to clean and lubricate the dropper.
Then check...
There are two noses (is that the correct word for that?) at the bottom of the cover to secure the down part.
On the top there is a version of the Böllhoff fixation.
Google: Böllhoff Snaploc
I think the Snaploc is too small for this cover, especially when you shred bumpy trails, bikeparks or try...
I read about the battery cover coming off sometimes.
Had some round velcro pads laying around in one of my drawers.
They fit quite good into the pattern of the cover and stick together without bulging the cover.
Time will tell if this will keep the cover at the bike.
It's my new primary bike.
The 6 will stay with me because it rides superbly with all the upgrades.
So, in case I'll have to wait for spare parts I still can go out and shred ;)
If you're interested in buying the 745Wh battery from E-Bike Vision and you're not sure if it fits, this pic might help you.
It's a 2018 Allmtn 6, size M.
No probs at all.
That battery is a monster
Edit: Wife's 2018 Allmtn 8 is size S and the battery fits, too.
Just wanted to share my new pedals with you :)
I'm curious how they will perform compared to my Crupi beartraps.
Any of you have the same pedals and can tell me sth about them?
Just before the weather turns wet again, I tried a jump that I always hesitated to do because you can crash badly when you hangup.
For the pros this is an easy one but for me it was a challenge.

Agree!
If we see someone laughing out loud, we immediately check his teeth to tell him the truth.
Every laugh must have an engineerical meaning.
If not, we'd laugh at it.
Or so...
