carrying a quicklink and a chain breaker is of course one solution but does assume the only damage to the chain ( when broken) is one link. I prefer to discard it until I can check it back home for twists etc.
Instead I carry a spare chain already cut to size and complete with an unused...
I fitted mine to my 2020 E180 RS..............I also have the E160 RSX but have no problem with pedal strikes on that bike.
I bought them for the E180 primarilly due to having to be so careful to a void pedal strikes..........and to better enable full pedal strokes instead of half strokes on...
pretty simple to check. If the bolt in the drive side rear seatstay pivot (4 bar) has a fulll size bolt head with a torque setting printed on it, the hanger is UDH.
the best method I have found if you are starting from scratch:-
1. Find out what "tune" you have on the fork and shock. You can use the code on the shock/fork to check the relevant brand website. That at least tells you the starting point. You can only change that by sending it to a suspension...
this is a difficult problem. On one hand the Forest England forests provide fantastic mtb riding...and its free! I especially like riding in forest because it is natural trial....albeit enhanced in places!! For me it beat hands down bike park manicured trails. Looking at it from Forestry...
The OP is lookin for a replacement SIDE DOOR!!.
A steel door sounds good but it still has to have a frame fixed into the blockwork..........and if that is a modern garage it will be thermablock which is as soft as cheese!! I suggest just a solid wood door from Screwfix/ B and Q.
very confusing!! I checked the R and M site.........one section refers off to Bosch info and according to that chart ( below), the Performance Line Speed motor is not part of the Bosch Smart System.

go into setting and select " Custom Riding Modes". Once you have modified any setting the Custom Riding Modes wil appear on the home screen whenever you connect to the bike.
Was this even primarily developed for MTB?? Surely shifting under load is mostly a benefit for road racers?? I agree with a lot of the engineers sceptisism...........
I use Kiox 300 on my E 160RSX but previously I just used Komoot on my phone. I did not mount the phone on the bike....I had it connected with blu tooth earplugs and just used the voice instructions.................I only checked the route on the phone if the voice instrcutions told me I had gone...
Both of my bikes have DT Swiss Hybrid 1700 wheelsets...............350 hubs. All aspects of the hybrid series is upgraded and strengthened both in choice of material and material thickness to cope with E bike MTB use. I have found the hub/freehub assembly ( mine is the XD freehub and ratchet...
Agree with most of the above ( @B1rdie )...except the "front end bouncing" bit!!
I have the E160RSX and a 2020 E180 RS. I assume the latest E180 is not greatly different but have not had a ride on one.....but assuming the same characteristics apply, it is a very different bike to my E160RSX and...
to be brutally honest you may be better off in the long run getting a new hub. The kit you have is OK...until it is not......then almost impossible to repair. You may find the freehub online somewhere but its a search.........the hub.......even harder. If you wheel is OK get something like a DT...
ah ok...sorry I thought you were referring to the DT Swiss ratchet system. Your ring nut is for a pawl freehub. If indeed the part is available you will need to identify the hub first. Do you know what wheel hub it is?? If it is something like Formula you probably have to get a replacement hub...
I dont think you may be on the wrong track. As I said a bove the on/off button on the TCU merely closes a switch which then completes a 12v circuit from the main battery to the TCU ( it needs power from its own TCU battery to do that). Your description of the fault means that action is not...
