Is anybody running a DVO Jade coil shock on their Gen 3 levo Not the jade x but the original ‘dh’ coil version with the larger reservoir.
i dont know if it its one of the recommended coil shocks, ie with a strong enough shaft to withstand the lateral loads….?
I also run a cascade link so will...
i’m not overly happy with the noise from my gen 3 levo either. Much like you describe….my riding mates say it sounds like somebody running on a treadmill, rubber belt going round and round at high frequency. Gets noisier as the ride goes on. But i’ve reconciled it to the conclusion that its just...
I’m 6ft and bought an S5. Admittedly it felt it a bit on the long side as i got to know it for the first few months, and, as somebody else said, a bit imbalanced between a lengthy front end and a fairly squat rear end. But I’ve swapped to a 35mm stem to get the reach to 487, almost exactly where...
Post 21 is mine, and i can guarantee it has never hit the downtube on any big hits, so all your cringing has been in vain
You’re probably now default thinking if thats the case it can’t have been taking hard hits, but thats not the case either, its had a fair number of heavy landings and the...
I was about to say I'd take some photos when i get home but my bikes in the shop as the shock is done after 2 months. Hopefully get it back soon though and let you see.
I asked a similar question when i bought my bike. In the end I have the invisiframe kit fitted but also left the factory stuff on. The factory stuff is thicker and high quality, is positioned in key places and it just seemed silly to remove perfect factory fitted protection. When i applied the...
@Squamish Sucks thanks very much for that, agree it has the same gap. Interestingly your gap is at the front of the cup, so i guess you’ve made it slacker and the lever effect is lifting the front. I’ve made mine 1 deg steeper so makes sense my gap is at the back of the cup. Cheers again.
Hi, I have some questions around the +/- 1deg headset cups. Has anybody got the lip of the cup to sit flush with the frame. Here is mine, just cant get it to sit flush:
I can tap it in flush before the fork steerer is installed but as soon as the steerer is in and its all nipped up i get this...
Mine is loud as well, noticeably so and much louder than mates bikes (bosch). I just think its probably what they do rather than being out if the ordinary so would he interested in other experiences too.
the fact you’ve had 3 or 4 also indicates its more normal than being out of place, no???
2 rides in on my 22 Levo, early days but initial thoughts so far:
The not so good
- power/torque. I also have a trek rail and would say the motor is noticeably shorter on torque than the gen 4 bosch. Not a problem for most riding conditions but noticed a few specific climbs and areas where it...
I used to agree with Hob Nobs views on this but having sat on the S5 at weekend that’s the one for me. I’m 6ft. I’ll ride it with 50mm stem and see how it goes (reach 497) may bring it back by 10mm in due course to 487 but nothing more dramatic than that.
Hi
my first post in the specialized section of the forum as i’ve just bought a 2022 levo (S5 S works).
Curious what people have done for frame protection. Normally i’d go straight to invisiframe but the frame already has some matt vinyl fitted from factory in the highest wear areas (seat stay...
