36T chain ring is a nice little boost to top speed, don't need the short gearing so much on an emtb. Especially if you commute - i spin out down hills.
Alloy HG hub driver is getting flogged so i will replace the XT 11-46 with a XD driver and SRAM 10-42 when the cassette is worn, 42T should be...
Just read your post on the other thread... So the raised lugs are actually on the back and not the front, opposite to how it's pictured on their website? This should see it suitable for Shimano? ?
Good point. The Shimano has it mounted on top of/in front of the spider gear rather than behind it like on the brose, Yamaha etc.
The praxis ring is internally threaded, so am i right in thinking the fitment on this would be poor on the Shimano and not suitable?
Does anyone know where to find a Praxis 36T ering that will ship to Australia? Praxis website only does North America.
Iv'e also noticed the <2019 Giant's run a SRAM X-SYNC 2 36T steel ring from factory. This could be another option but i can only seem to find the alloy version for sale online...
Lezyne E-Bike Marco Drive 1000 light . Just received and this thing looks like a gem. Great mounting system, small, light and plugs into the bike directly = no battery. A lot cheaper than the options from Lupine and Supanova which were out of my price range!
Also a Shimano BR-M8120 4 pot...
Leave the 34T on the front so you're not sacrificing top-end. Put a Shimano HG500 11-42 cassette in :) They are pretty cheap and i have previously used one to upgrade my analogue bike with great success. Possibly a Wolf Tooth Goatlink might be required as well - not sure about the Zee mech.

I have bought one of these for my Shimano bike. Can't wait to try it, i don't do night riding as such but i got caught out at sunset in an unfamiliar location the other day so i would like a light for...
I dont think you will be disappointed with the Sight, gets rave reviews!!
There isn't many ride reports on the new Range as yet. Though i must say it looks kind of odd and very polarizing with the super steep seat tube and the super slack head angle!
That would be my guess. I've had issues on my bike and i'm now on my second rotor with the issue returning. I might look at a floating disc next time round.
Vibration when braking is caused by the brakes providing uneven braking power over the full circumference of the disc as it rotates through the caliper. Can be caused by contamination to the pads or rotors creating areas of low friction/high friction. Or it can be caused by the disc having run-out.
Another option is to swap over to XD driver and run a 10-42 11 speed sram cassette. I will replace the 11-46 XT with something like this when it wears out.
Dont really need 46T on the ebike - 42T will still climb great and you can wind the b screw in a little with the smaller cog for more chain...
No need to turn it on. The chain guide and the narrow/wide chain ring isn't letting that chain go anywhere at all.
Definitely don't want to leave it on, it stops the chain growing by limiting the derailleur from extending. Don't down shift into the bigger cogs with it on as you will be fighting it.
The battery is fully charged when the lights are all solid -when the last bar stops flashing.
It will switch off completely 30-60 minutes after this happens but you dont need to wait for that.
