You are correct USAA is almost as good as Farmers and State Farm. They cover bikes as personal property and cover them for all peril loss.
USAA has stricter wording on there general policy that’s why I say there not as good but they are way better than the Geico and Nationwides of the world.
I’m not stuck on the length just have long arms and regular legs so I bought a large kenevo with the intention of running a stem to fit right. But things changed visually after the bike was built. What looked nice on paper did not in person.
And money is not an issue so I prefer the diety...
So really I’m down to two options race face who has a weak metal compared to my other choice diety. Diety is clean but would require me to buy a new bar race face is less attractive but less money.
My home insurance coverage is world wide so if my bike gets stolen in Mexico I’m covered. Or attached to my car our even if I crash it on accident and total the bike. ( happened to a friend it was covered he hit a parked car on a TT bike at 35mph)
I’m in Southern California so we have high fire, flood and earthquakes risk. And if you can find me a home under $500,000 here it must be old and falling apart ;)
But still crazy the differences across the pond.
Carbon is just plain sexy. You can never go wrong with carbon, unless it’s carbon monoxide then that’s bad.
But honestly if your not replacing broken bits stick with what you got or if money is no object go carbon. ? ?
You have to buy extra insurance for your bikes ??? Dang in the US bikes are personal property and they are covered by house insurance ?
But I bet our home insurance rates are much higher. I’m at 2200 a year.
Back in the USA you will not find deals like this. That’s 30% off us msrp of 7750. Cost margin is 40% area.
I can’t say what deal Specialized gave me on my 19 expert Kenevo but that price is with in hundreds USD of it. I’d jump on that price all day long and with no strings attached ;)
@Gary I guess it’s a no so I have work at it more. I’ve never had a all Mountian bike I was on a sworks epic hardtail 29er before.
I’d like better turning but doubt want to make the bike twitchy.
I also don’t want to be to aggressive in the cockpit.
Thanks for your help
Diety was my first choice with the 31 diameter black label bar. Thoughts on rise ? 25mm on the bar ?
Or I can save a buck try stock bar and swap out if I’m not happy.
