Were there any screws lurking under any stickers? I tried to take mine apart the other day when I had some issues after the bike had been washed upside down.
The battery case has cracks radiating from where the retaining bolts pass through it so I wanted to check for water ingress.
After taking...
The Jam2 was never designed to be a long distance cruiser it’s always been about smashing out a couple of hours of Enduro style riding.
Like was said a few posts ago you need to keep the cadence in the 70-80 range if you want a Shimano setup to last any distance, otherwise it throws in loads of...
Mid mounted e-Pinion gearbox with e-shift. Fast charging via RoPD connector. RoPD charge points at the popular venues.
A magnetic accessory connection point would be cool too.
A word to the wise that I learned doing this in the past. I thought I’d clean some other components while the equipment was out....
DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ANODISED IN AN ULTRASONIC CLEANER!!
My nice shiney Hope brakes did not stay shiney for long☹️
Also wrecked a gold KMC chain
There is a bigger difference than you think which is compounded by the angled axle slots on the rear triangle of the bike.
It maybe possible to squeeze a wheel & tyre in with the tyre deflated. I didn’t try that.
I was surprised as mine was supplied originally with 3” tyres and I expected the...
Think I’ve used my TEC pack twice in two years.
The quick disconnect bottle rack that comes with it on the other hand I use loads when I don’t want to cart round a pack.
Unless they have changed the rear triangle for the newer models a 29” will not fit on the rear of a 27.5+ Jam2 with a reasonable width tyre (2.4 DHR doesn’t clear)
Been playing with the Osmo Pocket for a couple of weeks.
Picture is great, has survived multiple crashes without issue, fine in light rain/muddy conditions and I haven’t managed to jolt it offline which is pretty easy with the traditional gimbals.
I switched the gimbal reaction speed to high...
You don’t have to remove the cranks or chain ring, now you have mentioned it you do need to loosen the bolts on the chain guide to spin it a bit for access.
I could then get at the awkward bolt by jiggling things about.
Another vote for OneUp EDC. It’s right there when you need it and the new add on which screws on the bottom with a fork & dog turds ready to go is ace.
Most shops that sell the tool will have a threading service.
If you have to run a new outer sleeve you will probably have to swing the motor down as the cable run is pretty tight.
It’s easy enough, remove the plastic ‘sump guard’ (4 torx screws) loosen the rearmost two bolts a bit then remove the rest. The motor can then be swung down a bit to give...
Not sure 4 pawls will help as normally only two engage at a time. The extra pawls are used to increase the number of engagement points as they are offset from each other.
The ‘proper’ ones have a longer bar into the crank and lift the back wheel off the ground. You can then turn the pedals to oil the chain etc.
You do need to make sure it is a burly one for an ebike or it will just bend with the weight.
I like em for washing off my bikes. Easy to setup and you...
