With the speeds you are riding with a 32t, no need for a chainguide, a narrow wide would do fine.
34t seems to be the sweet spot for restricted (20mph) riding.

Try to get DD casing, I got a flat on the first ride on a DRH2 2.6 EXO+. DD on the stock HR2 2.6 was great, can't buy anywhere. DD on DHR2 2.5 also fine, but I would like a 2.6. I'm on 27.5, but it should be the same for a 29er.
You can update the firmware using etube app, but in the past, it is only when an new update is released. AFAIK there is no way to roll back using the app.
