The geo are very similar between the two. Initially, I thought the whole steeper seat angle was more bike industry marketing than an actual improvement. But in regards to the Relay I was absolutely wrong. The ability to climb steeps is significantly easier and more comfortable because you’re no...
How does the bike ride? It’s really good! For reference I’m 6’1 200lbs.
Kenevo SL S4 vs Transition Relay L - Push ElevinSix was on my Kenevo and the Relay has the Fox Coil, same wheel set, group set, bars, stem, and brakes moved over to the Relay from the Kenevo.
First three rides and I‘ve...
Depending on the brand of fork and rotor size. You may want to check that you don’t have the spacer for the calipers mounted in reverse. or the wrong size spacer. Basically, it’ll cause the caliper to sit in a higher position, which means the pads are actually only contacting half the rotor...
Try looking to see if the grommet holding the line for speed sensor/magnet pickup has come off by the rear axle. My 2022 Kenevo SL had a similar rattle that I finally tracked down to the speed sensor wire rattling inside the chain stay. The grommet had slid off and was no longer pressed into the...
You’ll need a Jeffsy derailleur hanger and the AXS shifter/derailleur. The rest of the drivetrain is up to you on whether you want to replace it or not. The AXS derailleur will work just fine with the Shimano cassette and chain.
I’ve been riding it with the dual crown for at least 6 months now. I’ve ridden lots of double black trails, jump trails, rock gardens, etc. I’ve had a few crashes and so far so good. It rides and climbs better then the fox 38 @170mm fork I had on it prior. My buddies are all on Decoys as well...
The 3m tape has a sandpaper like texture. Which in turn makes it look like grip tape. I made a template for the decoys, that way it fits just about perfect. I covered just the sides of the motor, crank arms, an the rear triangle on my bike. I covered the entire bike on my buddies Decoy. It looks...
The 2020 Fox 36 170mm on the Decoy is just a normal Fox Factory 36. I pulled mine apart last week along with rebuilding a 160mm fork off another Decoy. The Fox 36 160mm did have a thicker stanchion and a 34 air shaft. If your wanting to go to 180mm of travel, I would suggest the Fox 38...
I will say that the 2020 Fox 36 Factory 170mm travel forks on the Decoy are indeed normal Fox 36 forks with an ebike sticker. I’m now wondering if all the ebike forks at 170mm travel are just relabeled Fox 36 forks. I also checked a Fox 36 160mm ebike fork off another YT Decoy and it did have a...
I’m a little over 6ft tall, even my buddy who normally rides a medium went with a large on the Decoy. Plus the 2020 Decoy has a shorter reach compared to the 2019 version because of the 170mm fork. Stand over shouldn’t be an issue what so ever, it’s pretty low compared to some other bikes.
Just put a 27.5 on the front of the bike. I’ve already done it and the bike was certainly more playful. As others have stated, I would go to a 180mm fork. If, your wanting to keep the geometry close to stock. I ran a 2.5 on the front and a 2.4 on the rear. Personally, never cared much for the...
