After owning my EMTB for around 2 months now there is no doubt I am riding more and having a lot more fun. I am also less anxious to try things I once would not attempt on my pedal bike. This is from yesterday's ride in Jonkershoek, Cape Town, South Africa. Km's of single track, flow, technical...
Interested to hear who is riding with what and why?
I've been on clips since i started riding MTB's but as I try more technical stuff with jumps, I'm wondering if I need to switch.
what settings are you using?
It doesn't sound right in my opinion, you should be getting at least 1200m - 1500m on a ride and between 45-55kms.
My mate is 115kg on a 2019 Turbo Levo with 500w and that what he gets. Example below of a ride we did a few weeks back and he used eco most and trail...
Elevation is the key multiplier with these batteries. Relatively flat riding will give you good range, hills are the challenge.
I'm 85kgs (dressed, shoes, pack around 92kgs) and my average ride is around 40kms/1300ms elevation and I use around 50% of a 700why battery, using Eco setting 25/30...
Open the mission control app and check if there are any issues in diagnostics. Clear them if there are.
Reset the TCU and check if that helps. If all else fails, might need a trip to the LBS to clear or update firmware. I had the same issue.
I had the same choice, 2019 comp with upgrade battery or 2020 comp.
So a few things, it might not initially make a difference but the 2020 comes with a Lyrik which is a better fork then the Revelation. I have ridden both on the same trails and the Lyrik is more stable and compliant.
The 2020...
Interesting long term review of YT decoy -
I would go with the Kenevo, but this is from a service/support/parts perspective. I have huge reservations about direct selling brands especially when something goes wrong with such an expensive piece of kit.
Anyone have issues with their spesh charger? I charged my bike 2 days ago and plugged the charger in tonight and there is no power to the charger, no green light. Tried in different plugs, still nothing. It’s 6 weeks old.
Exactly what I do, I ease off the power before changing gears to reduce load on the chain, as you have both leg power and mechanical power to contend with. Most motors also perform better at a higher cadence (80-90), so spinning also reduces wear on the chain.
Recently got a 2020 Levo Comp with 700wh battery. I have had it for around 5 weeks and have ridden it a fair bit but after the last two charges, the battery is showing 100% charged but only 640wh in Blevo when I start the ride in the live screen?
When I look at the ride output after the ride...
Jonkjershoek in Cape Town, very dry, sandy and rutted. Very lucky not to hit my head on one of those rocks - time to watch - 2.23. We all need mates that just laugh at you!
I have to just laugh at this sort of thing. I find it so interesting that some countries have the time and gumption to worry about who can ride what, where and at what speed. I'm just lucky if I get home safe after a ride and not bleed out on the mountain somewhere after been stabbed for my bike :).
