I bought a laylo mount and first impressions are that it’s nicely made, good value and provides a welcome alternative location for my purion controller.
I actually quite like the Purion although I accept it’s a clunky chunky old beast!
I typically run Tour or emtb so I don’t need instant trail...
I’m just about to press the button and buy one, but before I do has anyone actually fitted one?
Primary reason for purchase is to put to bed any further downtube strikes from the crown and raise the BB slightly now that I’m running mullet (for now).
Cheers peeps
I’m 5’8” / 172cm on a medium Rail. I’m going to try mullet this week. Gonna be interesting to see the results. I had some credit with Leisure Lakes bikes and picked up some 155mm Hope cranks to offset the drop in bb height.
There must be peeps out there with feedback?
Mine’s a mk1 Rail which came with Lyriks so completely standard.
I’ve done over 1000km of pretty hard riding since the failure and it hasn’t killed me post my minor repair. Let’s hope that’s not now tempting fate, Final Destination style!!!
New Shimano I-spec dropper lever for my Shigura brakes (an absolute bargain and loads better than ZTTO or the standard bontrager one) new mudguards- RRP Pro guard front, recycled front mudhugger on the rear and a +3mm cane creek crown race to avoid adjuster damage in event of knock block...
I’ve fitted the Cane Creek +3 crown race and fork dials now clear the down tube.
It’s still a stupid bloody design fail. Just wish I was as good a rider as Wak clearly is.
Thanks for that, I just checked that area after today’s ride and it’s surprisingly blemish free!
Wish I could say the same for most of the shoddy Project paint work….
