My complete build including motor, battery, pedals, 27.5x2.8" beefy Maxxis Minions was 22.6kg that's with the M500 and 450Wh battery.
Not a 'featherweight' but not particularly heavy I only notice it when I try lifting the bike over a fence.. so usually I go under the fence.
People need to be careful. The Luna M600's and (maybe) the Dengfu M600's are 48V due to the large battery capacity. HOWEVER, there are 43V firmware versions floating around. Those kits that are OEM supplied by Bafang, with Bafang fabricated batteries (rather than after market) use a 43V...
No you can't change the speed from the display. Even with the BESST tool there is no setting to allow this feature.
The speed is changed through the BESST interface in the motor settings tab
That looks like it's the display for the 350W slightly older style motor not the m500. There's a chance that the software for the Bafang ultra will work but I'm not 100% sure
Bafang resellers can create accounts for customers, so you can ask whoever you purchase your motor from for an account. Or you can ask Bafang but there a chance they just won't respond, or they'll direct you to your retailer.
My experience with the Besst tool is that it's a bit fiddly to get working... Lots of disconnect / reconnect , and power off / power on cycles to get it to read the serial number but once it reads it, the firmware update is pretty easy.
You can change the speed limit and wheel size for...
Hey all,
The battery capacity and the peak power of the controller are somewhat unrelated. There were a couple of comments made to consider:
1. is the 800 Wh battery bigger than bosch 625Wh?
2. cell-wise it's similar to Bosch.
So, Bosch is a 36V system, that's 10 cell-banks in Series x 3.6V =...
I think the 'feel' really depends on the power delivery programming and design of the motor.
Stick with me...
Ok.. so.. Shimano may choose to deliver their full 70Nm from very early on.. whereas Bafang may ramp up the assistance to reduce the pressure on the drive train internally.
As...
that's interesting. I never really considered brake bias by design, since you can lock the rear with pretty much any disc brake, I always figured the bias was up to the user's finger input..
Luna cycles sell a shorter version. I have a set. They feel kinda funny.
I never really had an issue with pedal strike because i am relatively cautious. Pedal strike is an issue on all bikes, it's just made worse on an ebike because people tend to just sit down and pedal / plough through...
Sorry mate, I wasn't getting email updates which I thought strange.
No.. the Q factor is the same, (I should measure to make sure).. but the stator housing is closer to the inside of the crank arm on the M600... less clearance... now time to read the 3 pages I missed.
