Dunno if things have changed that much. Top spec spec bikes would always lose a ton of value as you're paying a premium for the halo version with diminishing returns. I think this doubly affects eBikes as while suspension and gears get incrementally better up the range we are at the stage where...
"Additionally, Presta valves are capable of handling higher pressures, making them ideal for road bikes and other high-performance bicycles."
Which is contradicted by the pressures in forks and rear shocks somewhat.
Imho, prestas are just a hang up from the daft roadie influenced weight weenie...
Only had my Levo but never noticed it was a problem. When I'm walking where the button is less of an issue because I won't be adjusting riding modes. Agree Turbo is a waste of space, only removes one click from proceedings.
The OP says up there the one they're looking at comes with the 1.3
Are Teros that expensive in North America? Tero & Tero X 4.0 are £2500 in the end of season sales.
Gen 1 Levo hardtail for $4k? Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole! Hasn't the Turbo Tero replaced it and has the later motor, bigger battery in certain models, etc.
I've recently put on a set of Betty/Mary's I got from Merlin. I wanted 2.4"s but there was about £15 difference between a 2.4 and 2.6 Mary. As the mud clearance issue was in the back I saved the 15 quid.
700c and 29er are just the road/mtb terms respectively for the same diameter rims.
Pressure wise, if you're running tubeless and 2.0"+ tyres it'll be less than you think, I wouldn't go above 30 on tarmac and closer to 20 off road.
How far are you planning on riding? I did ten miles on country roads tarmac this morning (to buy strawberries from a local farm!) at an average of 25kph and used 13% of my 500wh battery (mix of all three modes as I wasn't interested in economy or getting a workout). I guess what I'm saying is...
FWIW my Levo with 2.6" mud tyres on buzzes along nicely on Tarmac at 15.5mph using under 30% of the 500wh battery to go 20 miles. If the bike shop can't swop out for something a bit more XC (nobby nics, wicked wills, ardent, etc) I'd be inclined to just run what you have until they're bald and...
Wouldn't smaller wheels on the kids bike mean a higher top speed? At a given rpm a full 29er will be faster than a 24". Won't the system just be counting wheel rpm?
Hi there, welcome to the levo club!
I've only had mine since November but I've enjoyed every minute spent on it.
Do get set up for tubeless before you hit the trail, it's a doddle on specialized with the factory fitted rim strips. You'll only need some sealant and valves if they don't come in...
Worked fine for me. Weird thing was when I bought my used Levo it wouldn't sync with MC (the previous owner said the black app was sketchy), but I had to use the new app as it synced OK. I just logged into MC and my bike appeared! Off to see if it'll actually talk to it...
I fitted a pair of Pirelli eMTB 2.6" tyres to my Gen 2 Levo. Super tough feeling tyres but they are right on the limit for clearance in the back. I've replaced it with a 2.4 Super Trail Big Betty but not given it a proper outing yet. It came with Michelin DH34 which seemed bomb proof but weigh a...
MBR liked it a lot on their spin out on it.

At $9000 you've got to be keen versus just carrying on in a car. At $3500 the Haul LT seems to be it's biggest rival, how can be it be worth nearly triple the cost?! Globe Haul | www.specialized.com
