Is confusing. I can't see the difference between these 2, apart from £30.
I don't want to mail them to ask in case it's an error and they put the price up!
27.5 x 2.4
Addix soft
Super gravity

Probably a mistake. If the tyre has no coloured ring around it, it is a verstar compound not Addix. That does not mean it is not a good deal though if that is the case. The Addix compound is supposed to offer more grip due to a different rubber formula..........I would bet that is mostly marketing bs!! The tyre may be a couple of years old though ...hence the price.

Merlin aggressively price their stock to move slow selling items or if they're overstocked.
They definitely don't like aging stock!

Not sure why you wouldn't just ask them.
Even if you order and they then make the discovery the price is wrong, they can still cancel the order.

I've recently put on a set of Betty/Mary's I got from Merlin. I wanted 2.4"s but there was about £15 difference between a 2.4 and 2.6 Mary. As the mud clearance issue was in the back I saved the 15 quid.

Received today and they are the correct tyre, not the older vertstar or trailstar.
Magic Mary 27.5 x 2.4
Addix soft
Supergravity.
£24.95
Good result 🙂
So if anyone needs one, use the first link in my post.
Takes the sting out of paying £52 for a front 29" ultrasoft version anyway.

The rear went on first go, without sealant initially, so full of confidence I removed the tatty second layer of tape I only ever seem to need for ewilds, fitted the front with sealant and it wouldn't inflate. So off it comes making a right mess, to then find I don't have enough spare rim tape, so have to recover the length I had just removed from the bin.
Blew up fine, fitted to bike to discover I had installed it backwards 😡. Despite checking twice. So off it comes making more mess. Bloody bloody bloody 🤬
