Oh my! I meant to say years but...
Epic 24 miles this morning. Deer, owls, jumps, downhill, cross country, sun through the trees, all before 9am. Amazing.
Trading in my car for a truck or estate version of the same car. Will soon need to take bikes to places.
I called 101 and reported it. We’ll see what happens.
Compared to motorbikes these MTBs are super cheap. Annual service on one of my bikes would be more than the cost of the Overvolt. £800 for a helmet, £380 gloves, £230 per tyre, £700 for a master cylinder. So far this eMTB has been the...
Went for a short ride (forgot to charge the damn thing, so longer ride later/tomorrow. Somebody had scattered broken glass all over the trails. I cleared away what I could.
Then found somebody had blocked a trail with logs with barbed wire wrapped around them. I pushed that out of the way and...
I wanted the 160 because the deal at the time here had it with a better battery and suspension. But it went out of stock in hours.
I then was going to get the 140 with the 625watt batter and that sold out in the same amount of time.
So I bought the LaPierre and realised that all the bikes are...
I’ve used pressure washers for 21 years on motorbikes. Until a year ish ago I rode motorbikes every day no matter the weather, to and from London. They’d get disgusting. I’ve owned many washers.
I’m very new to MTB but I get the thing disgusting and it takes hardly any time to clean it. I’m not...
I think I stand by my point. The pressure aspect of the washer, the only benefit, can’t be used. You have to back away from the electrics, seals, bearings, drivetrain. That’s the majority of the bike.
I’ll bow out now, but I’d spend the money on something else.
Hi Brendon.
I know nothing about bikes but have learned that most of not all of the big names get it right. I’d go for the Cube 160, it’s what I’d have got if I could have found one.
But ultimately any of those bikes are likely better than you, and will see you right for years as you progress...
New pedals on.
Did another ride with my new eChum. He’s helping me get more confident. Did about 20 miles through and around Mereworth and West Malling. Spent more time on jumps and downhill single track. I’m more confident to let the bike move around now. And more confident getting air. We...
Serious question - given you can’t use the thing on half the bike and setting it up takes more time then rinsing and agitating with a brush, why use a pressure washer?
With a normal hose, muc off, and two brushes (soft bristles and a specific hard bristles agitation brush) my bike can go from...
Pedals ordered. Shoes never arrived so will order from elsewhere. New bag coming. Took a day off from riding but tonight will be my first go with a chamois!
Did my biggest ride today, went out with a guy who’s been riding for 20+ years. He’s raced XC and downhill. Him on his Kenevo.
What a leveller ebikes are! No way on analogous would I have kept up. We did 30 miles of all sorts of stuff. Technical downhill way beyond my level, fast downhill with...
